Abstract

A self-position estimation device is mounted on a mobile body and acquires a predicted position of the mobile body. Additionally, the self-position estimation device calculates a difference value between a predicted position of an end point of a lane division line that is obtained based on information on the end point of the lane division line acquired from map information and a measured position of the end point of the lane division line measured in such a manner that a measurement unit mounted on the mobile body performs scanning with a light in a predetermined direction. The self-position estimation device estimates a self-position of the mobile body by correcting the predicted position with a value obtained by multiplying the difference value by a coefficient. Further, the self-position estimation device corrects the coefficient based on an interval of scanning positions of the measurement unit at a position where the end point of the lane division line is detected.

Abstract

The controller 13 of the in-vehicle device 1 acquires point cloud data outputted by a lidar 2. Then, the controller 13 generates processed point cloud data obtained by down-sampling the point cloud data. The controller 13 matches the processed point cloud data with voxel data VD which represents a position of an object with respect to each voxel that is a unit area and thereby associates a measurement point of the processed point cloud data with the each voxel. Then, the controller 13 changes the size of the subsequent down-sampling based on the associated measurement points number Nc which is the number of measurement points associated with the each voxel among the measurement points of the processed point cloud data.

Abstract

The own vehicle position estimator 17 of the in-vehicle device 1 acquires the predicted own vehicle position X− (t) that is a predicted value of the present position and the orientation of the moving body. Then, the own vehicle position estimator 17 acquires: the relative angle Lψ (t) that is first orientation information indicative of the orientation of the landmark with respect to the vehicle specified based on the measurement data of the landmark by the lidar 2; and the relative angle L−ψ (t) that is second orientation information indicative of the orientation of the landmark with respect to the vehicle into which the orientation of the landmark indicated by the landmark information is converted. The own vehicle position estimator 17 corrects the predicted own vehicle position X−(t) based on the difference between the relative angle Lψ(t) and the relative angle L−ψ(t).

Abstract

A calculation data storage unit (120) of an accident index calculation apparatus (10) is used together with a map data storage apparatus. A first index acquisition unit (110) of the accident index calculation apparatus (10) acquires information (travel route specification information) for specifying a travel route of a vehicle (60), and acquires a first index by using the travel route specification information and map data stored in the map data storage apparatus (50). The first index is related to a unit road count, which is the number of unit roads included in the travel route per unit travel time. A calculation unit (130) calculates an index (a second index) related to likelihood of an accident (for example, a traffic accident) involving a driver of the vehicle (60) or the vehicle (60).

Abstract

An electromagnetic wave transmission apparatus of the present invention includes a transmission unit whose voltage-current characteristics have a local maximum value and a local minimum value located on a higher voltage side than the local maximum value and which transmits an electromagnetic wave indicating a modulation signal, an acquisition unit which acquires a digital signal, and a modulation unit which modulates the digital signal into the modulation signal which is a signal using voltage values of three levels or more in an oscillation region which is a voltage region that is equal to or more than a voltage of the local maximum voltage and equal to or less than a voltage of the local minimum voltage. The transmission unit preferably transmits a synchronization signal as at least a part of the modulation signal. In this case, the synchronization signal preferably includes a maximum value and a minimum value among the voltage values of three levels or more, and includes a pattern in which the voltage value transitions from one of the maximum value and the minimum value to the other.
