Fire-fighting systems must therefore be prepared to make use of an increasing quantity of sensors, both in number and in type. In other words, a high-performance fire-fighting system must have a large number of sensors. The evolution of fire-fighting systems, like for of all systems, in general, must necessarily be framed in the wake of the so-called "smart buildings", that is highly computerized buildings, characterized by the presence of a multitude of systems, in which information acquired by each system are exploited to the benefit of the other systems as well. The intuition behind the present invention consists in having overturned the definition of the technical problem underlying the integration of the different systems that characterize the so-called "smart buildings", proposing not to start from the systems and then look for ways to integrate them, but starting from the sensors. The problem of integration was thus formulated by putting it in different terms: i.e. in the definition of a multi-sensor not specifically linked to a particular system or to a particular function, but suitable for collecting a wide variety of information, some of which not typical of the current systems installed in "smart buildings", but certainly useful in order to collect general information on the state of the "smart building", so as to activate any implementation functions of various types and nature, including the management the events related to fires.

The scope of application of this invention concerns the air purification and sanitization systems of indoor environments, that is, all those confined spaces where people are expected to stay. Particular attention was paid to the application in the hospital environment, an environment where the need to have efficient sanitation systems assumes a very significant importance, especially with respect to the presence of viruses: a type of pathogen extremely complex to be countered in its generality. Therefore, the air exchange and sanitization system according to the invention teaches to exploit in a synergistic and combined way at least three sanitizing and filtering actions of the air: an ozone disinfection treatment, another disinfection treatment through ultraviolet radiation and filtering carried out by means of a filtering septum made of suitable materials, such as silver, which is a preferred choice, since, in combination with the other treatments it also exerts a powerful antibacterial and oxidizing function.

Moreover, being very thin, when wrapped, it gives rise to a coil that is certainly very compact, if compared to the dimensions of traditional extensions. In addition, the "extension system" is completed with some accessories that allow you to bring data connectivity to the same socket where the power supply is taken. More precisely, a so- called "Powerline" modem is installed at the point of withdrawal of data connectivity (which can be very far from the point of withdrawal of electricity), and it is also connected to the nearest electrical socket, with the sole condition that this socket is connected to the same electrical distribution network to which the "ribbon cable" of the "extension system" according to the invention is also connected. At this point, in addition to the power supply, a modulated "Powerline" signal is also present on the socket where it is connected the extension cable (i.e. the "ribbon cable" of the "extension system" according to the invention). Then, using a second "Powerline" modem, which allows to modulate/demodulate this signal, it is possible to have both a data access and power access, substantially in the same point of the working environment, and therefore by means of an appropriate " ribbon cable", these accesses can be remoted to the point of actual use.
