CENTROIDING OF MASS SCAN DATA OBTAINED FROM HIGH-RESOLUTION MASS SPECTROMETRY (HR-MS) INSTRUMENTS
The present subject matter is related to deep learning-based centroiding of mass scan data generated by high-resolution mass spectrometry (HR-MS) instruments, operated in standalone mode or when connected to other devices including but not limited to gas or liquid chromatography, capillary electrophoresis or ion mobility separation devices. The raw data or analytical data that is received from the HR-MS instruments is first converted into an open source format such as the mzML format, obvious noise is removed by applying ad hoc filters, regions of interest (ROI) are built from the mass scans, ROIs are classified as peak or noise, peak boundaries identified if classified as peak, and centroids recorded as a tuple of median, mean or weighted average mass to charge ratio (denoted as m/z) and area under the curve. The ROI classification and peak boundary detection steps make use of specially trained deep learning methods.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR FORECASTING NON-STATIONARY TIME-SERIES
A method (S1500) and a system (1600) for forecasting in a non-stationary time-series are disclosed. It addresses forecasting in a complex form of non-stationarity in time-series by employing regime-switches. The scope of application of the present invention is wider than that of existing models since it makes automating the process of forecasting easy and practical which in turn aids in generating forecasts at higher frequency than the existing models. It relies on a blend of wavelet transforms and deep learning towards automatic identification of different types of regimes that exist in non-stationary time-series. To overcome the limitations of existing models, it proposes a two-step framework for non-stationary time-series forecasting, where, it employs wavelet theory approach for capturing both high and low frequency components present in the time-series process during different time intervals; and then employs various deep learning models and machine learning algorithms to automatically identify the regime structure present in the time-series.

REAL-TIME PITCH TRACKING BY DETECTION OF GLOTTAL EXCITATION EPOCHS IN SPEECH SIGNAL USING HILBERT ENVELOPE
A technique, suitable for real-time processing, is disclosed for pitch tracking by detection of glottal excitation epochs in speech signal. It uses Hilbert envelope to enhance saliency of the glottal excitation epochs and to reduce the ripples due to the vocal tract filter. The processing comprises the steps of dynamic range compression, calculation of the Hilbert envelope, and epoch marking. The Hilbert envelope is calculated using the output of a FIR filter based Hilbert transformer and the delay-compensated signal. The epoch marking uses a dynamic peak detector with fast rise and slow fall and nonlinear smoothing to further enhance the saliency of the epochs, followed by a differentiator or a Teager energy operator, and amplitude-duration thresholding. The technique is meant for use in speech codecs, voice conversion, speech and speaker recognition, diagnosis of voice disorders, speech training aids, and other applications involving pitch estimation.
Hearing aids for persons with sensorineural hearing loss aim to compensate for degraded speech perception caused by frequency-dependent elevation of hearing thresholds, reduced dynamic range, abnormal loudness growth, and increased temporal and spectral masking. A digital hearing aid is implemented as a smartphone application as an alternative to ASIC-based hearing aids. A circuit for realizing a precision and linear floating resistor, using MOSFET devices, is disclosed. A linear floating voltage-controlled resistor (LFVCR) is realized using a MOSFET with a gate drive means and a substrate drive means to provide a feedback of the common-mode voltage across the source-drain terminals to the gate and substrate terminals. The neuron oscillator includes a thermal insulating device connected with a resistor and a capacitor in series to produce self-sustained oscillations, where the resistor and the capacitor are arranged in parallel manner. The neuron oscillator eliminates a requirement of an additional compensation circuitry for a consistent performance over a time under heating issues. Additionally, an ON/OFF ratio of the neuron oscillator improves to a broader resistor range. The present invention discloses a hand based blood pressure measurement system, apparatus and method. In one embodiment two or more hand-based electrocardiogram (E.C.G.) sensor and one or more hand-based arterial pulse wave measurement sensor are used.
