Abrégé

A weapon simulator assembly for monitoring correction of a malfunction of a simulated weapon having a detachably attached simulated magazine includes a central processor for generating the malfunction scenario. A weapon processor is supported in the simulated weapon in electrical communication with the central processor, with an electrical interface connecting the weapon processor with the simulated magazine detachably attached to said receiver. A sensor, such as a tap sensor or accelerometer, is in electrical communication with the weapon processor via said electrical interface, with the tap sensor or accelerometer registering a strike when a force is applied to the simulated magazine above a predetermined value.

Abrégé

A weapon simulator assembly for use by an operator in weapon simulation training includes a simulated weapon and a simulated magazine detachably connected to the simulated weapon at a magazine receiver. A weapon processor is housed in the simulated weapon to monitor the number of rounds of simulated ammunition fired in relation to the simulated magazine. When the simulated magazine, which is identifiable by the weapon processor, is connected to the simulated weapon, the weapon processor will recognize the magazine by connecting with a magazine circuit having updated operating information or by identifying the magazine according to a magnetic signature member. The weapon processor will thereby monitor the number of rounds of simulated ammunition fired by a particular magazine, and disable use of the specific magazine once the simulated magazine has used the predetermined number of simulated rounds of ammunition.

Abrégé

A weapon simulation system is used to correct the misalignment between a laser of a simulated weapon and an aim point of the simulated weapon. A compensation offset profile and a compensation angle profile are stored in a weapon controller card in the simulated weapon identifying the misalignment of the laser module in the corresponding simulated weapon. The compensation offset profile and compensation angle profile is transmitted from the weapon controller card to a central computer, where the central computer calculates the aim point of the simulated weapon using said compensation offset profile and said compensation angle profile from said weapon controller card. The position of the simulated weapon with respect to a screen of the weapon simulation system is further calculated using an RFID reader in electrical communication with the weapon controller card and at least one RFID tag positioned in a fire line mat, which transmits the position information to said central computer.

Abrégé

A gas regulating assembly controlling the pressure of gas from a gas reservoir to a pneumatically-operated device includes a primary housing surrounding a pair of gas regulators. The gas regulators are aligned in series within the primary housing between an inlet to receive high pressure gas and an outlet for releasing a controlled pressure gas. Each gas regulator includes a sealable valve that defines an input and an output, with each valve including a piston having a cylinder and a rod. A spring is adjacent said piston to force said piston cylinder away from said corresponding inlet, and a shim proximate said spring to adjust the force applied by said spring on said piston cylinder. Each valve allows gas to traverse the corresponding gas regulator until a predetermined pressure is achieved in the respective outlet of the respective gas regulator, at which point the predetermined pressure will close the corresponding valve.

Abrégé

A regulated gas supply system having a body defining a pressurized gas reservoir connected to a high-pressure regulator that regulates the high pressure gas from the gas reservoir to disperse the gas at a desired pressure. The gas regulating assembly includes a piston chamber with a piston slidably positioned in the piston chamber, the piston chamber having a secondary chamber connected to the gas reservoir. A spring is positioned between one side of the piston and the piston chamber, with the piston including a piston channel to allow pressurized gas to flow through the piston. Pressure is developed on the piston opposite the spring that is proportional to the force of the spring, providing a balanced piston.

Abrégé

A projection apparatus for providing both day vision simulations and night vision simulations. The projector including two independent light sources (1 and 2), with an embedded night vision filter (14) affixed proximate one of the light sources to achieve a night training mode. The operator selects one light source according to the mode desired. Each light source may easily be selected, and the light paths from both the light sources (1 and 2) may have a common path when exiting the projector for efficient operation between modes.
