Abrégé
A cable barrier assembly or system can include line posts extending along a barrier section. Cables can extend along the line posts. In addition, each line post can have a total number of cable retention features that is less than a total number of the cables. Each cable retention feature can include at least a partial loop that limits a range of radial motion of a cable extending through an eye of the partial loop, relative to an axis of the cable.
Classes IPC ?

A post cable connection comprises a post having a top end extending above ground level and a hairpin shaped post-cable connector having an elongated section forming a loop disposing a cable and a top section extending between the elongated section and a hook end section. The top section is mounted on the top end of the post such that when the post is impacted and urged toward ground level the cable is released from the post. A device for releasably connecting a cable to a post comprises a hairpin shaped connector having an elongated section to dispose a cable and a top section extending between the elongated section and a hook end section.
Classes IPC ?

Abrégé
A releasable post-cable connection includes a post having a top end extending above a ground level. The post having an internal cavity and a slot formed through a post face wall extending downward from the top end of the post in communication with the cavity and a hairpin connector carrying at least one cable and releasably mounted to the post. The hairpin cable connector includes an elongated section forming at least one loop adapted for disposing a cable, and a top section extending at an angle from the elongated member. The elongated section is substantially disposed within the cavity and the loop extends exterior of the cavity, and the top section hung on the top end of the post. When the post is impacted and urged toward the ground level the cable is released from the post.

Abrégé
A cable-release anchor assembly including a cable mounting plate adapted for removably holding a cable proximate its terminal end and a leveraging member positioned to release the cable from the terminal end when the leveraging member is impacted. The cable may be connected to a safety system such as, but not limited to, a cable barrier system, W-beam guardrail, and/or an energy absorption system.
Classes IPC ?

A cable barrier system including a cable-release anchor assembly, a terminal end section having at least one terminal post, the terminal post disposed adjacent to and spaced from the cable-release anchor assembly, and a length of need section having a plurality of line posts spaced from each other, each line post having an internal cavity and a slot formed along a sidewall extending downward from its top end. At least one cable having a terminal end is connected intention between the cable-release anchor assembly and the posts, the cable connected to the cable-release anchor proximate its terminal end. The cable is releasably connected to the terminal post and the line posts. The cable is releasably connected to the line posts by post-cable connectors. The post-cable connector includes an elongated section forming loops, the elongated portion is disposed substantially within the cavity and the loops extend through the slot to the exterior of the cavity. The cable is slidably disposed in the loop. Wherein when an object impacts and deforms one of the posts toward ground level the cable is released from the deformed post in a manner such that the cable tends to stay in contact with the object.
