In various embodiments, the top surface of the body comprises a curved shape defined along a portion of the leading top surface edge.

The suppressor may include an inner body and an external shroud. A muzzle brake for attachment to a muzzle end of a firearm includes a body defining a first end that engages a muzzle end of the firearm, a second end opposite the first end, and an axis extending therebetween. The body further defines one or more openings intersecting the axis to form a channel extending between the first end and the second end along the axis. The body further defines a first port extending from the channel to an exterior surface of the body and a second port extending from the channel to the exterior surface of the body between the first port and the second end. In operation, the first port directs gas from the channel to an external environment of the muzzle brake that disrupts gas directed by the second port from the channel.

The present disclosure generally relates to a bolt catch device that prevents the bolt of a bolt carrier assembly of a firearm from moving to its forward position so as to prevent the firearm from being discharged until the user manually moves the bolt catch. The bolt catch is mechanically coupled to the selector of the firearm via a linkage, so that the bolt catch can be moved by way of the selector. This feature can prevent a self-loading firearm that otherwise could function on a semi-automatic basis from operating in such a manner.
Trigger guard assemblies for firearms include a trigger guard movable between a closed positon; and an open position providing greater access to a trigger bow of the firearm. The trigger guard assemblies also include a post that engages the trigger guard, and is movable in relation to the trigger guard between a retracted position and an extended position. Linear trigger mechanisms for firearms include a trigger slide mounted on, and configured to move linearly in relation to a chassis; and a hammer. The trigger slide has a rolling element, such as a pin-mounted roller or a rolling pin, that engages a contact surface on the hammer and thereby restrains the hammer against its spring bias. When the user pulls the trigger to discharge the firearm, the trigger slide moves linearly, causing the rolling element to roll off of the contact surface and thereby release the hammer. The trigger mechanisms can be equipped with a drop safety that rotates in response to an impact between the firearm and the ground, so as to interfere with the movement of the trigger slide and prevent the release of the hammer.

A safety selector assembly for a firearm includes a cylinder sized and shaped to be rotatably received within a lower receiver; and a lever detachably coupled to the cylinder end and secured to the cylinder end by a threaded member. The threaded member is configured to engage the cylinder end, and to move between a first and a second position in relation to the cylinder end. The lever is configured to engage the threaded member when the threaded member is in the first position, and interfering contact between the threaded member and the lever causes the lever to be retained on the cylinder end. The lever can be removed from the cylinder end when the threaded member is in the second position.
The disclosure relates to a mount for attaching an accessory to a firearm including: a body having at least one firearm rail mounting feature; at least one mounting cap removably securable to the body, the at least one mounting cap capable of forming a generally cylindrical passage with a portion of the body; and an auxiliary accessory mount removably securable to the body over the at least one mounting cap, wherein the auxiliary accessory mount includes: an accessory mounting surface configured to receive a firearm accessory; and a mounting feature extending generally perpendicular to the accessory mounting surface, the mounting feature being removably securable to the body.
A trigger mechanism for a firearm includes a hammer element pivotable between a ready position and a fired position, and a trigger element pivotable between a first position that retains the hammer element in the ready position, and a second position that releases the hammer element. The hammer element may include a hammer sear or a trigger sear having an initial sear surface and a terminal sear surface. The trigger element may include a trigger sear that at least partially engages a portion of the hammer sear when the hammer element is in the ready position.
