The present invention relates to a method comprising a selective hydrogenation step of vegetable oil derivatives that are mixed with light olefins and conveyed to the metathesis section, wherein the renewable carbon content of the olefins and aviation biokeresone depends on the type of origin of the light olefin stream. After metathesis, the reactor effluent is conveyed to the separation and purification section, in which a 1-decene stream (99% m/m), a C11-C14 olefin stream (99% m/m) and a methyl ester or C10-C14 carboxylic acid stream are obtained and conveyed for coprocessing together with aviation kerosene of fossil origin in an existing hydroprocessing unit. An excess of light olefins is admitted at the input, and the unreacted portion is separated and returned to the metathesis section. A small amount of compounds of higher molecular weight is also formed, as as result of autometathesis reactions, which is separated and incinerated or used as fuel for furnaces or boilers to generate energy. The saturated FAME stream (stearate, palmitate and methyl) in the load can be used for coprocessing (up to acceptable levels) or commercialised in the form of biodiesel.

The present invention is a system for treating effluent from robotic equipment used to remove marine biofouling, primarily targeting organisms such as orange cup coral, which collect on hulls of floating units for transporting oil and derivatives thereof, or on production and exploration platforms. The system involves separating the flow into two elemental phases: solid and liquid. In the solid-phase flow, treatment is carried out in steps essentially comprising particle-size reduction, direct oxidation, oxidation residence, separation, drying, temporary hermetic storage, packaging, and automatic transportation for final storage. The liquid phase includes a step of centrifuging, adsorption, inerting, and discharge of treated effluent into the sea in accordance with environmental law. The entire system is automated to minimize manual actions and interventions, and is programmed to run without interruption as a function of the flow rate of raw effluent.

The present invention relates to a remotely operated underwater robot device for removing marine biofouling, mainly aimed at organisms such as sun coral, settled on hulls of floating units for transporting oil and derivatives thereof, or on exploration and production platforms. The system comprises a remotely operated robot that removes the marine biofouling from said hulls, without damaging the hull, containing and capturing the waste. It is an intelligent device that is capable of operating in two modes: as an ROV to allow it to travel through the water, and as a crawler to perform the actual functions of removing the macrofouling containing sun coral and the functions resulting therefrom. It has non-georeferenced reference systems using acoustic elements to facilitate location by the operator. It uses computer vision to enter the parking areas without human assistance. It contains thrusters for controlling aquatic movements and self-levelling systems with control of the centre-of-buoyancy dynamics, and has wheels for movement, which can be electromagnets or a set of wheels that works in conjunction with a magnetic fastening system, both with variation in the coupling force. It has either a system for removing, containing, capturing and crushing the biofouling or a removal system using cavitation and mechanical impact that can have an approximate height of 30 centimetres, normally applied to sun coral.

The present invention relates to a synthetic-silica catalyst used in a heterogeneous catalysis method for the effective conversion of residual glycerin resulting from the production of biodiesel into formic acid with high selectivity and stability, in a continuous-flow reaction. It should be noted that products with high added value are formed with the mere presence of an oxidizing agent, including without a catalyst. In this case, the conversion of the residual glycerin occurs by homogeneous catalysis, by the action of the components left over from the synthesis of the biodiesel, with the formation of major components, such as formic acid, cyclic ethers and diglycerol, in continuous-flow and reflux reactions. The reaction can also be brought about by adding sodium salts to the process of homogeneous catalytic conversion of the commercial glycerin. The process developed in the present invention reuses the residual glycerin without the need for purification before its transformation into products of high added value and renewable origin, enhancing the usefulness and potential of the invention.
The present invention relates to equipment for recovering flexible pipes without the use of special vessels, using less costly resources and without the obligation not to damage said apparatus during the handling thereof, as it applies to pipes at the end of their service life or that are already damaged. These types of pipes are a significant liability for some operators in the oil industry. The technology, for use in field demobilization phases or even for recovering pipes without any prospect of use, uses vessels with minimal adaptations including the presence of recovery/laying wheels with a much smaller diameter compared to the wheels used on conventional vessels or, alternatively, the launching of a special recovery reel with its own drive means in order to allow the winding of the abandoned pipes at the launch site, with subsequent recovery of the assembly and transfer to the vessel itself.
To achieve the aforementioned objectives, the present invention provides an adapter tool for coupling a bend stiffener with a diverless bellmouth interface in a bellmouth with a BSN900E interface. The adapter tool provides interchangeability and flexibility between projects and project phases, even when different bellmouth models are used. The tool is characterized in that it includes a split adapter ring (10), the top of which is shaped to fit the dovetail profile of the BSN900E model cap, and the bottom of which is shaped to fit the seat profile of the cap of the diverless bellmouth (40). The present invention has two assembly methods that guarantee operational safety of the adapter unit, specifically: a method that uses only screws positioned in the split ring, and another method in which assembly includes a unit with a support ring and rods in addition to the split ring.

The present invention relates to a thermal insulation blanket for undersea lines designed to help keep temperatures above the desired minimum in the related projects, since the fluids transported therein tend to lose heat to the environment. The invention resolves problems such as the formation of paraffins or incrustations, increased viscosity of the oil and hydrate formation, inter alia. The invention should be used at greater depths (where the external temperature is lower) and near to the fluid source, where the fluid temperature is greatest, and where the potential heat exchange is most intense on account of the greater temperature difference. The blanket then keeps the water heated by the line in the vicinity of the line, providing additional insulation. Additionally, the blanket is installed longitudinally on the related lines by unrolling (to facilitate installation).
The present invention relates to a process for the conversion of plant oils, animal fats, waste food oils and carboxylic acids into renewable liquid fuels, such as bio-naphtha, bioQAV and renewable diesel, for use in combination with fossil fuels. The process is composed of two steps: hydrotreatment and hydrocracking. The effluent from the hydrotreatment step contains aromatics, olefins and compounds resulting from the polymerization of esters and acids. This is due to the use of partially reduced catalysts without the injection of a sulfiding agent and allows for the production of a bioQAV of suitable quality for use in combination with fossil kerosene. Concurrently, the process generates, in addition to products in the distillation range of naphtha, kerosene and diesel, high-molecular-weight linear paraffins (up to 40 carbon atoms).

The present invention relates to a process for producing aromatic compounds from streams containing straight chains of 5-18 carbon atoms of fossil or renewable origin and use within the field of catalytic cracking aiming for regenerator operation at a much lower temperature of between 480ºC and 620ºC, preferably at a temperature of between 500ºC and 600ºC. The coked catalyst generated by cracking light streams with low delta coke generation potential can be subjected to combustion at a lower temperature. The regeneration temperature should be at least 40°C and no more than 100°C higher than the reaction temperature, maintaining high catalyst circulation to maintain the energy balance in the reaction zone. The minimum regeneration temperature can be ensured by installing a furnace for preheating air before it enters the regenerator and passes through the air distributor inside the regenerator. The catalyst used should contain zeolite with pores of intermediate size. Such conditions significantly favour the production of aromatics and the octane rating of the naphtha produced.

The present invention relates to a plasma reactor for the thermal and/or plasma decomposition of hydrocarbon molecules, intended for the large-scale production of carbon nanotubes and amorphous carbon of superior quality in terms of purity. Said reactor has enhanced capacity to produce carbon nanotubes, on account of continuous-flow operation at pressures close to atmospheric pressure. Pyrolysis of the hydrocarbon using thermal plasma or the heat therefrom produces carbonaceous material that has a purity content higher than material obtained using methods more commonly used in the production of solid carbon, which are generally based on burning part of the hydrocarbon in the load.

The present invention relates to the optimization of the processes relating to the activities performed by Onshore Production Rigs simplified with the placing of loads on wheels. The use of the equipment on a single board, called a Compact Peripheral Unit (UCP), considerably reduces the quantity of loads moved in the rig dismounting, transport and mounting (DTM) process. As a result, in addition to optimizing the layout on leases, the DTM costs and time are reduced, together with the risk of accidents.
The present invention relates to a process for the production of bio-oil-based renewable streams for composing a diesel or aviation kerosene (AVK) pool by combining the technologies of hydroprocessing esters and fatty acids (HEFA) and thermochemical conversion of lignocellulosic biomass for generating bio-oil. The integration of conventional raw material from the HEFA pathway with a bio-oil fraction has the advantages of the use of a stream originating from the conversion of lignocellulosic material, which is widely available on the market, and also the production of a renewable stream containing aromatics in its composition.
The invention uses the principle of the pneumatic turbine and a cooling system for the entire welding torch, in which the gas used in the welding process, or even the compressed air, enters through a conduit in the axial direction to the consumable, thus moving a turbine, which in turn moves a nozzle and a nozzle holder. The welding torch can be used for extended periods of time at 100% duty cycle, in NEMA class I welding machines, since it is water-cooled. In addition, the torch can be used on any welding source made by any manufacturer, whether the machine is new or very old, since the euro standard (adopted) is the same. This means that there is no need to acquire a new welding machine, but simply a torch. In construction and assembly environments, such as welding risers, refineries, joint welding, cladding, and processes aimed at constructing a part using just one welding consumable, the use of said torch will provide significant savings in terms of reduced time and cost. This torch can also be used on any existing welding device, within the aforementioned processes.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING PRESSURE AND DRAINAGE IN THE ANNULUS OF FLEXIBLE LINES
The invention discloses a system and a method for reducing pressure and drainage in the annulus of submerged flexible lines, for use in all flexible line structures and in any industry that uses these types of lines. The objective is to remove condensed water and to reduce partial CO2 pressure in order to restore the physical integrity of the lines. In addition to this, reducing gas pressure in the annulus enables line collection operations to be carried out more quickly, i.e. in less time. Relieving the pressure in the annulus also reduces the risk of the outer layer rupturing during operation, thereby reducing the risk of operator exposure to harmful gases when the line reaches the deck of the PLSV ship.
The present invention relates to a method for clearing undersea lines, in which the method resolves the most complex obstructions of flexible undersea lines where a conventional approach is not effective. Furthermore, the present invention is a cheaper alternative to clearing lines in situations where a conventional approach can be used. The clearance method for flexible lines using coiled tubing from a well intervention rig according to the present invention includes as one of the main steps thereof: using a remotely operated vehicle (51) to open a flanged connection (10) between two flanges (15) of the sections (12 and 14) of an undersea line (40) and installing a pull head (16 and 17) on each of these sections (12 and 14); and using operations with well intervention rig (120): to mount the hoisting unit (58) to hoist the section (14) of undersea lines (40) with a drill string (50); to hoist the section (14) of the undersea line (40) via one of the ends thereof using the hoisting unit (58) coupled to the pull head (16); to drain the internal pressure in the line by connecting a tube (67) to the pull head (16); to mount the surface flow tree (70) on the end of the section (14) of the undersea line (40), using the connection adapter parts (90) and (91) to make the end of the surface flow tree section compatible; to assemble the coiled tubing (80) on the surface flow tree (70) and surface lines (72); to perform the clearance operation of the section (14) of the undersea line (40) with coiled tubing (80).

PROCESS FOR PRODUCING COMPOUNDS, INCLUDING TRIPTANE BY AN ALCOHOL COUPLING REACTION
The present invention relates to a method for the production of molecules with seven carbons constituted by a chain of four carbons with three methyl branches, primarily triptane (2,2,3-trimethylbutane), by alcohol coupling reaction (Guerbet reaction), resulting in an alcohol with a four-carbon chain with three methyl branches, which istransformed into triptane. The importance of this method stems from the fact that triptane is the hydrocarbon with the greatest capacity to resist compression without ignition and can be used in unleaded aviation gasolines and in the formulation of high-octane automotive gasolines.

The present invention is used to form the structure of a system that operates inside ducts. It can be used in a robotic system in the form of a string to move tools inside pipes or ducts with small diameters. It avoids the need for costly commercial connectors with a limited variety of connections. The proposed solution is that of splitting/dividing the electronic or hydraulic components into pressure vessel modules, thus making it necessary to provide suitable means of interconnection between said modules by means of an elastomeric conduit. Each module has a heat exchanger (heat sink) system to remove the heat generated by the electronic equipment installed therein. The product of the invention has a sufficient degree of freedom to move in subsea ducts and pipes, in which the hydrostatic pressure is extremely high.

DEVICE AND PROCESS FOR DISTRIBUTION OF MIXED CHARGES ONTO FIXED BEDS OF CATALYST IN DESCENDING-FLOW REACTORS
The present invention relates to a device and respective process for distribution of mixed charges comprising a flat tray in the form of a disc drained by a series of drainage tubes located above the surface of fixed beds of catalysts, capable of promoting the homogenisation and distribution of charges by means of said device. Such drainage tubes mounted in said manner have the objective of restricting and reorienting the flow of mixed charges, multiplying the points whereon they fall, principally of the liquid phase, onto said beds of catalysts. For the purpose of doing so said drainage ducts, being segments of tubes, distributed on the entire surface of said tray possess caps affixed at the upper extremity thereof impeding the direct flow of charge onto the bed of catalyst, creating a reservoir of liquid on the tray, subsequently being drained down such device in a more controlled manner.

CATALYTIC CRACKING PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF DIESEL FROM SEEDS OF OLEAGINOUS PLANTS
The present invention comprises a thermocatalytic cracking process for the production of diesel oil from a charge of vegetable origin made from seeds of oleaginous plants in refineries possessing at least two FCC reactors. At least one of such reactors processes heavy gas oil or residue under conventional conditions whilst at least one of such reactors processes the charge of vegetable origin made from seeds of oleaginous plants under conditions suitable for production of diesel oil. Said process employs the same catalyst utilised in the fluid catalytic cracking process which, simultaneously, processes a conventional charge. The diesel, or biodiesel, oil produced by means of said process is of superior quality having a cetane number exceeding 40 given that the cracking reactions occur at low temperatures and the products obtained are less oxidised and consequently purer than products obtained by means of existing technology.
A method to exploit the glycerin obtained as a by-product of the industrial process to produce biodiesel inside or out of the industrial production unit, providing a reduction in the environmental liability that may be caused by an excess in the production of glycerin that cannot be exploited for industrial use. The referenced method uses recycling of the glycerin obtained through industrial process to produce biodiesel, using a process basically consisting of four stages: a) Captation of the glycerin produced as a by--product of the industrial process for producing biodiesel; b) hydrogenation of said n-propanol glycerin, c) recycling of the n-propanol thus obtained to be added to a mixture of alcohols; and d) transesterfication of the n-propanol mixture added to the alcohol mixture, together with raw material triglycerides from renewable resources in order to obtain biodiesel. The referenced recycling of the n-propanol stream provides a reduction in the amount of the alcohol mixture necessary for the industrial process to produce biodiesel, consequently reducing operational costs.

PROCESS FOR THE FERMENTATIVE PRODUCTION OF ETHANOL FROM SOLID LIGNOCELLULOSIC MATERIAL COMPRISING A STEP OF TREATING A SOLID LIGNOCELLULOSIC MATERIAL WITH ALKALINE SOLUTION IN ORDER TO REMOVE THE LIGNIN
The present invention relates to a process for obtaining fuel ethanol by using agricultural and agroindustrial waste materials composed of lignocellulose, and especially sugar cane bagasse. These residues have significant contents of carbohydrates in the form of polysaccharides (cellulose and hemicellulose), which can be hydrolysed by chemical and enzymic processes. The hemicellulose fraction is submitted to mild hydrolysis with sulphuric acid, and the solid material from this hydrolysis is submitted to a process of saccharif ication (enzymic hydrolysis) with simultaneous rapid alcoholic fermentation under conditions which allow a significant increase in conversion to alcohol in a greatly shortened time.
