This scroll compressor comprises a hermetic container, a frame, a fixed scroll, an orbiting scroll, and a crank shaft. The scroll compressor also comprises: a main shaft part provided to an orbiting scroll side end section of the crank shaft; an orbiting shaft provided to protrude toward a counter lap side of the orbiting scroll; an eccentric hole which is provided in a main shaft part end section of the crank shaft and into which the orbiting shaft is inserted; an orbiting shaft bearing provided between the orbiting shaft and the eccentric hole; a main shaft bearing which is provided between the crank shaft and the frame and provided at substantially the same position in the axial direction as the orbiting shaft bearing, and which supports the main shaft part of the crank shaft; and an orbiting support part which is provided to an orbiting scroll side end section of the crank shaft and which supports the back surface of the orbiting scroll. The crank shaft is configured to be movable in the axial direction as far as the position where the orbiting support part supports the orbiting scroll, and is configured to press the back surface of the orbiting scroll via the orbiting support part by using a pressure differential in the axial direction acting on the crank shaft.Classes IPC ?
