Abstract

An in-cell OLED touch display panel structure includes an upper substrate, a lower substrate, an OLED layer configured between the upper and lower substrates, and a black matrix layer. The black matrix layer is disposed at one surface of the upper substrate that faces the OLED layer, and the black matrix layer is composed of a plurality of opaque conductor lines. The plurality of opaque conductor lines is divided into a first group of opaque conductor lines, a second group of opaque conductor lines, and a third group of opaque conductor lines. The second group of opaque conductor lines is formed with N mesh-like polygonal regions. The opaque conductor lines in any one of the polygonal regions are electrically connected together, while any two polygonal regions are not connected, so as to form a single-layered touch sensing pattern on the black matrix layer.

Abstract

An unknown item of currency is compared to at least one known item of currency by evaluating the spectral response of the unknown item of currency. A spectral response is obtained from the unknown item of currency, and the spectral response of the unknown item of currency is separated into a first component and a second component. At least one component of the spectral response of the unknown item of currency is compared to at least one component of the spectral response of at least one known item of currency having a specific denomination. Abstract

A reference data set used for classifying items of currency is established by obtaining at least one measured response from at least one known item of currency, projecting the measured response data from the known item of currency from a first space to a second space, and applying a reduction technique to the second space thereby reducing the complexity of the second space. The reference data set, which can be used for classifying items of currency, is thus represented by a subset of all measured responses obtained from the known item of currency.

Abstract

A coin sensor performs time-domain eddy-current testing using an inductance in one arm of a Maxwell bridge which is driven by a bipolar square wave having randomly-selected intervals between transitions, the output of the bridge being sampled at a high frequency. A processor stores a model which receives the drive signal and adjusts coefficients of the model so that the output matches the sampled measurements. Acceptance criteria are applied to the adjusted coefficients for coin classification purposes.

Abstract

A method and apparatus are provided relating to a secure bag assembly to secure cash in transit ('CIT'). In some implementations, the secure bag assembly is installed in a lockable, removable cassette that is fitted to a bill validator. The casset and bill validator can be installed in an enclosure like those found in retail kiosks, self-checkout terminals, retail safes or gaming machines. In such an implementation bank notes are deposited in the bill validator and once identified and validated, are securely stacked in the bag assembly within the cassette. The bag assembly can be used for capacities of one banknote up to the maximum capacity allowed by the cassette. The bag assembly is secured in place when installed and is sealed automatically upon removal from the cassette.

Abstract

A coin dispenser (1) includes a coin canister (2) that automatically locks into the dispenser (1). A remotely operated mechanism (18) may unlock the canister (2) from the dispenser (1). The dispenser (1) may serve as a loading stand for the canister (2). The canister (2) may be adapted for manual loading of coins into the canister (2) without removing the canister (2) from the dispenser (1). The canister (2) may include a receptacle (3) for coins and an aperture (17) adapted to facilitate loading coins into the receptacle (3) and to retain coins in the receptacle (3). The canister (2) may include a repositionable handle (7) that covers an aperture of the canister (2) in one position and serves as a carrying handle in another position. A system for dispensing coins includes a controller (34, 38) electrically connected to a coin dispenser (1). The dispenser (1) includes a coin canister (2) and a latch that locks the canister (2) to the dispenser (1). The controller (34, 38) can send an electrical signal that unlocks the canister (2).

Abstract

A cassette for storing bills is described. The cassette includes a shutter, a link which engages the shutter; and a helicoidal drive shaft which engages the link. As the cassette is inserted or removed from a chassis, an actuator fixed to the chassis actuates the drive shaft such that the shutter opens or closes. In some embodiments, the cassette may prevent persons without proper authorization from accessing bills inside the cassette.
