Abstract

The present disclosure relates generally to the field of waste collection, and particularly to techniques for requesting and controlling access to a waste collection point by using a mobile user device. The mobile user device is initially provided with a user ID that is granted permanent or temporary access rights to one or more hatches of one or more waste containers of the waste collection point. By using the user ID and a user input that comprises an indication of one or more of the waste containers to be accessed in the waste collection point at a given time instant, the mobile user device sends an access request to an access control system. In response to the access request, the access control system unlocks or opens the hatch(es) of the waste container(s) to be accessed, when the mobile user device is in the vicinity of the waste collection point. By so doing, it is possible to provide efficient access management for the waste collection point.

Abstract

A method and system for detecting the presence, location, movement, or attitude of one or more objects to be monitored in an area are provided. The system comprises at least two sensors. The sensors are fitted into some part, such as e.g. on a floor, wall and/or ceiling, of the area. The sensors detect movement and/or presence, and the sensors measure in two measuring ranges that are at a different height, of which a first measuring range is an upper measuring range and a second measuring range is a lower measuring range. The system interprets an object as having fallen if the object is not detected in the upper measuring range and the object is detected in the lower measuring range. The system sends a notification of a fall if a person is interpreted as having fallen and the predetermined criteria attached to sending a notification of a fall are met.

Abstract

Method for conveying and handling waste material in the channel section of a pneumatic wastes conveying system, in which method solid waste material or recycleable material fed into a conveying pipe (100) is conveyed in the conveying pipe (100) of the pneumatic pipe transport system for material along with the transporting air flow to the delivery end of the material conveying system, where the material is separated from the transporting air. In the method the material (w) is acted upon in the conveying pipe (100) by stopping the speed of movement of the material being conveyed in the conveying pipe by means of a stopper means (22) arranged between the separating device (25) of the delivery end and the material (w) being handled, or against the stopper means at, or in the proximity of, the delivery end of the material conveying system and by bringing about in the channel space of the conveying pipe (100) volumetric compression in at least a part of the material (w) being conveyed by means of the stopper means (22) arranged between the separating device (25) of the delivery end and the material (w) being handled, or against the stopper means, by means of a pressure difference acting on the different sides of the material being handled, such as by the combined effect of suction and replacement air, before transportation of the material onwards in the conveying pipe into a container (257) of the separating device (25) arranged at the delivery end of the pneumatic transport system for wastes.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Method for filling a waste container/separating device of a pneumatic material conveying system, in which, melhod material is conducted into a material container from a conveying pipe via an inlet aperture and in which method, for bringing about the suction/partial vacuum needed,in conveying the material, the suction side of a partial-vacuum source is connected to act in the container space of the waste container/separating device and onwards into the conveying pipe. By changing the point at which the suction of the partial-vacuum source acts or the strength of its action in the container space of the waste container/separating device, the input direction in the container space of the material being conducted into the container space from the inlet aperture is acted upon. Abstract

Method in a waste handling system, in which waste or recyclable material is transported in bags or sacks to a disposal point, such as to a waste bin of a waste room, and from there onwards by a transport vehicle for further processing. An RFID identifier is used in connection with the bag or sack used in waste transport, preferably a closing means that is provided with an RFID identifier is used in closing, or as verification of the closing. A sensor is arranged in connection with, or in the proximity of, a disposal point, such as a waste room, of the waste system. Information is read from the RFID identifier transmitted from the sensor to a control unit, which is fitted to control the waste transport system, or a part of it, on the basis of the information provided by the RFID identifier. Also provided is a waste transport system.

Abstract

A method for conveying material by applying a pressure difference in a conveying conduit (4), in which method the material is fed into the conveying conduit (4) and in the conveying conduit further into a separating device (5), where the material being conveyed is separated from conveying air, in which method a negative pressure is created in the conveying conduit (4) by means of an ejector apparatus (6), whose suction side is connected to the separating device (5), said ejector apparatus being operated using an operating medium consisting of a liquid mist, especially an aqueous liquid mist, said medium being sprayed through at least one spraying nozzle (122) into an ejector tube (128) directed into a separating element (38). In the method, the generation of the negative pressure to be produced is intensified according to need by limiting the flow of gases, such as air, into the ejector tube (128) from the direction opposite to the spraying direction of its operating medium, i.e. from the outlet end (129) of the ejector tube.
