Abstract

The present invention relates to a device and a method for defect recognition in additive manufacture and relates in particular to defect recognition during the process of additive manufacture. A method for recognising manufacturing faults during the additive manufacture of a manufacturing object, said method comprising the steps of: providing a camera system on or in a construction space of an additive manufacturing device; determining a camera system path of the camera system during the manufacture of the manufacturing object; manufacturing the manufacturing object in a plurality of manufacturing steps, whereby during the manufacture the camera system travels along the camera system path and at predetermined positions records and stores image recordings of the manufacturing object; determining an image depth map for at least one sequence of at least two image recordings; determining a total depth map from all image depth maps for a manufacturing step; and determining a 3-dimensional design of the manufacturing object from the total depth map.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for preventing manufacturing defects during additive manufacturing of a manufactured object. Said method comprises the following steps: Providing a detection system in the additive manufacturing device for detecting at least one property of the manufacturing object, manufacturing the manufacturing object in a plurality of manufacturing steps, wherein during manufacturing the detection system determines the at least one property of the manufacturing object, comparing the at least one property to a desired state of the property, determining deviations between the at least one property and the desired state of the property, evaluating the deviation determined in the deviation determining step, if deviations are determined, determining an adjustment of at least one process parameter based on the deviation determined in the deviation determining step for reducing the deviation in the further manufacturing process, applying the adjustment of the at least one process parameter determined in the adjustment determining step.
