Abstract
Provided is a smoking material wrapper which has micropores wherein, when the smoking material wrapper is divided into three equal sections from the upstream end based on the application thereof to a smoking article, the sections further downstream have a higher average porosity. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the micropores have a pore size of 10 ㎛ to 50 ㎛ and are formed by a perforation method using plasma. The smoking material wrapper not only maintains the functionality of a packaging material due to low visibility, etc., but can also maintain a basic dilution rate, while minimizing the decrease in dilution rate that occurs as a smoking material portion is burned, when applied to smoking articles.
