Abstract

This printer is provided with a printing cylinder (14) which is capable of continuously conveying sheets (4) one by one while holding the sheets (4), first to fourth ink jet heads (41 to 44), and a feeder (2). The printer is also provided with a speed reducer (72) for switching the speed of the feeder (2) for one-sided printing and for duplex printing. During one-sided printing, the feeder (2) is driven at a first feed rate to continuously feed the sheets (4) one by one to the printing cylinder (14), and the printing cylinder (14) is driven at a conveyance speed to convey continuously one by one the sheets (4) fed from the feeder (2). During duplex printing, while the printing cylinder (14) is driven at the above-mentioned conveyance speed, the feeder (2) is driven at a second feed rate which is half the first feed rate. Thus, it is possible to provide a printer which stably operates during both one-sided printing and duplex printing.

Abstract

A pair of register marks are added to a printable material (circuit from first printing) 4 comprising a stretchable substrate at positions separated from one another in the vertical direction during a pre-treatment step. By moving a camera (210) in the vertical direction, the present invention images a region containing one register mark at a first marking position (PM1), and images a region containing the other register mark at the second marking position (PM2). The present invention detects the positions of the one register mark and the other register mark on the basis of the captured images, obtains the distance between the pair of register marks on the basis of these positions, and adjusts the rotation speed of a rubber cylinder (2) during printing of a circuit (circuit from second printing) onto the printable material (4) according to this distance. As a result, it is possible to accurately align the positions of the circuit from the first printing and the circuit from the second printing, regardless of the degree of stretch in the substrate.

Abstract

A circuit (printable material) is printed on a film (4) comprising an easily stretchable substrate during a pre-treatment step. The printable material has a register mark (RM2) added thereto. Before printing an electronic circuit onto the printable material at the contact point (I) between a rubber cylinder (2) and an impression cylinder (3), the present invention images a region containing the register mark (RM2) by using an FF camera (305), and detects the position of the register mark (RM2) on the basis of the captured image. On the basis of the position of two register marks (RM2) added to two consecutive printable materials, the present invention obtains the distance between the register marks (RM2), and adjusts the rotation speed of the rubber cylinder (2) according to the distance. As a result, it is possible to accurately align the positions of the circuit from the first printing and the circuit from the second printing, regardless of the degree of stretch in the substrate.

Abstract

Provided is a method for automatically adjusting the contact pressure between an intaglio cylinder and a wiping roller that further limits the amount of defective prints generated. The method adjusts said contact pressure by changing the position of the wiping roller shaft center with respect to the intaglio cylinder shaft center using a contact pressure adjustment motor. At least the position of the wiping roller shaft center at low speed and the position of the wiping roller shaft center during printing operation for which the contact pressures have been optimized during a previous printing are stored. Before starting the current printing operation, the wiping roller is moved to the stored low speed position. Then when the current printing operation is started, the wiping roller is moved to the stored printing operation position.

Abstract

Subsequent to the completion of a prior printing job, a printing apparatus is stopped and an inking roller (6-1 to 6-4) of an ink roller group (6) is removed. Subsequently, a printing plate (7) is exchanged for a printing plate (7') of the next printing job, and a blanket (91) attached to a rubber cylinder (9) is washed. An opening value for an ink fountain key (4-1 to 4-n) corresponding to the pattern of the printing plate (7') of the next printing job is obtained, and the obtained opening value for the ink fountain key (4-1 to 4-n) is corrected, with consideration to the effect of washing the blanket (91), by an opening value correction value for the ink fountain key (4-1 to 4-n), to obtain a corrected opening value. In a state such that the opening value for the ink fountain key (4-1 to 4-n) is set to the corrected opening value, a corrected ink film thickness distribution which corresponds to the pattern of the printing plate (7') of the next printing job is formed in the ink roller group (6).

Abstract

A correction amount (Δθ1-Δθn), which accords to a pattern area rate of a printing plate for a prior printing job and is within a range corresponding to an ink fountain key (4-1 to 4-n), is acquired, and an opening amount (θ1b-θnb), which is for the ink fountain key (4-1 to 4-n) and corresponds to a pattern on a printing plate (7') for a subsequent printing job, is corrected by the correction amount (Δθ1-Δθn) to obtain a corrected opening amount (θ1b'-θnb'). In a state such that the ink within an ink roller group (6) is decreased due to removal using an ink scraping plate (15), and the opening amount of the ink fountain key (4-1 to 4-n) is set to the corrected opening amount (θ1b'-θnb'), an ink film thickness dispersion that accords to the pattern of the printing plate for the subsequent printing job is formed in the ink roller group (6).

Abstract

An ultraviolet drying device (37) and a photoelectric sensor (70) for detecting a circumference of a carrying trunk (36) are provided at a position close to the circumference of the carrying trunk (36) set on a downstream side of a carrying direction of a sheet-like article of a rear surface printing unit (11) for posterior printing. When the ultraviolet drying device (37) is turned on and the photoelectric sensor (70) detects that no fouling prevention member is attached to the circumference of the carrying trunk (36), the driving of a printing machine stops. Further, when an IR lamp (46) of an infrared drying device (47) is turned on andthe photoelectric sensor (70) detects that no fouling prevention member is attached to the circumference of the carrying trunk (36), the driving of the printing machine stops. This prevents the fouling prevention member attached to protect the trunk from being deformed in a liquid crystal transcription device.

The liquid feeding device has a pressing drum (40) rotatably supported and having a cutout section (40a) formed in its outer peripheral surface; a gripping claw device (41) provided in the cutout section in the pressing drum and holding a sheet-like object (1); and a rotary screen device (27) having a hollow drum (50) and a squeegee (51), the hollow drum (50) being rotatably supported and supporting a screen (55) having holes formed in its circumferential section, the squeegee (51) being positioned in the hollow drum so as to be in sliding contact with the inner peripheral surface of the screen and feeding, through the holes in the screen, special ink etc. contained inside the screen to the sheet-like object held by the gripping claw device. The rotary screen device further has a squeegee guide (52) supported in the hollow drum such that curved surfaces formed at at least both end sections of the squeegee guide individually communicating with the inner peripheral surface of a plate material.

Abstract

A parallel-folding device for a folding machine capable of automatically performing the position control of a brush guide according to folding specifications under the operation of the machine. A first gripper cylinder (26), an upper second gripper cylinder (27), and a lower second gripper cylinder (28) are arranged with their peripheral surfaces oppositely brought into contact with each other, a signature is parallel-double folded by the upper second gripper cylinder or the gripper claws (36a to 36d, 38b, 38d) of the upper second gripper cylinder and the lower second gripper cylinder in association with the knife of the first gripper cylinder, and brush guides (41) are attached onto the peripheral surface of the first gripper cylinder at positions on the upstream side of opposed contact points between the first gripper cylinder and the upper second gripper cylinder and between the first gripper cylinder and the lower second gripper cylinder in the rotating direction. The brush guides are installed so as to be moved close to and apart from the peripheral surface of the first gripper cylinder by a pair of right and left drive parts (44b, 44a) formed of screw shafts (51a, 51b) and brackets (58a, 58b) driven by motors (47a, 47b) with rotary encoders (55a, 55b).
