Abstract

An apparatus for a non-combustible aerosol provision device can include an induction circuit including an induction element for inductively heating a susceptor arrangement arranged to heat an aerosol-generating material to thereby generate an aerosol; drive circuitry arranged to provide, from an input direct current, a varying voltage across the induction circuit for driving the induction element to inductively heat the susceptor arrangement; and control circuitry. The control circuitry is configured to cause the drive circuitry to selectively operate: in a first mode in which the drive circuitry repeatedly alternates a polarity of the voltage provided across the induction circuit; and in a second mode in which the drive circuitry repeatedly alternates between providing a first voltage of non-zero magnitude across the induction circuit and providing substantially no voltage across the induction circuit.

Abstract

A system comprising an aerosol provision system and a computer. The aerosol provision system is configured to generate aerosol from an aerosol-generating material. The computer is configured to obtain user behaviour data relating to an amount of an ingredient delivered from the aerosol-generating material to a user of the aerosol provision system. The computer then determines default user behaviour with respect to the amount of the ingredient to be delivered on the basis of the obtained user behaviour data. The computer then monitors a current interaction by the user with the aerosol provision system, and when the current user interaction deviates from the default user behaviour with respect to the amount of the ingredient delivered by a pre-determined amount, the computer provides a notification to the user.

Abstract

A cartridge for an aerosol provision system with a reservoir for containing aerosolizable material for vaporizing and an air channel extending from an air inlet for the cartridge to an outlet is described herein. The air channel has a first portion for receiving vaporized aerosolizable-material, extending from the outlet. The reservoir is at least partially thermally insulated from the first portion of the air channel. In that way, the thermal insulation reduces the extent of vaporized aerosolizable-material that might be relatively hot as compared to the relatively cooler aerosolizable-material in the located in the reservoir from condensing inside the first portion by way of the cooler aerosolizable-material located in the reservoir.

Abstract

A non-combustible aerosol provision device for generating an aerosol from aerosol-generating material included in a consumable, the non-combustible aerosol provision device having: a receptacle for receiving the consumable; and an adaptor configured to adapt the non-combustible aerosol provision device by varying an effective length of the receptacle such that each of a plurality consumables of different lengths, which are individually receivable in the receptacle, when received in the receptacle for use, protrude from the non-combustible aerosol provision device by substantially equal amounts.

Abstract

A cartridge for an aerosol provision system can include the cartridge and a control unit, and the system can include a vaporizer for vaporizing An aerosolizable material. The cartridge can include an air channel extending from an air inlet for the cartridge to an outlet via an aerosol generation region, and a reservoir for containing aerosolizable material for aerosolizing. The cartridge can further include an aerosolizable material level observation means for allowing a user to observe a level of aerosolizable material inside the reservoir. The aerosolizable-material-level observation means can include at least one contoured surface located on a surface of the cartridge to improve the visibility of the aerosolizable material level inside the reservoir due to the interaction of light with the contoured surface.
