Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of combat firing simulation for weapons, characterised in that it comprises the following steps: • acquisition of information about a weapon (11); • transmission of said information to a central system (20); • processing of said information in said central system (20); • determination, by said central system (20), of the potential destruction of targets; and • transmission, to at least one target, of the new status of said target. The present invention further relates to a combat firing simulation system for weapons.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for simulating shots at a target (22), using a simulation weapon, during a combat training simulation. According to the invention, the target is located out of the direct sight of the shooter or beyond the maximum distance authorised by the technology used to carry out said shot simulation. A processing unit (17) of the shot simulator comprises means for producing, in real time, an imaginary shot trajectory of a ballistic behaviour of the simulated projectile in order to reach the designated target. The processing unit (17) displays, on an eyeglass (14) of the simulation weapon, a succession of simulation images representing the simulated projectile following the trajectory produced. The processing unit (17) can also deduce, from the trajectory produced, the destroyed character of the target, by comparing the point of impact of the simulated projectile in relation to the position of the target (22).

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for simulating shooting using a simulation weapon (10) aimed at a target during combat training simulation. The invention uses a shooting simulator (20, 30) which can emit successive shot-simulating laser beams according to a combination of unidirectional and bidirectional communication protocols. Said emission is determined by the type of weapon being simulated. In this way, all combattants (11, 12, 13, 14) in a simulated shot impact area (18) can detect the shot and may or may not feel the effects thereof.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for simulating gunshots during an urban area combat training simulation. The gunshot simulator (40) emits a first laser shot and a second radioelectric wave shot, or vice versa. Said two shots can be emitted simultaneously or consecutively. Laser target devices (60), located in an environment for the target that detected the laser shot, are considered to be hit. Radio target devices (50), located in an environment of the target that detected the radioelectric wave shot, emit shot detection signaling towards a discriminating member (90) capable of identifying and selecting, on the basis of predefined discrimination criteria, the device most likely to have been hit by said shot from among the devices that detected the radioelectric wave.

Abstract

The invention concerns a method for processing images of a simulator. The invention aims at simulating shots without having to use real targets not real missiles. The invention therefore concerns an algorithm for providing a panoramic image of the landscape (P') by fetching a sample of same from a base of terrain images (19). Said sample is based on a position of the simulator in the real landscape. Said algorithm also fetches a sample of virtual images (110) from a base of images (118). The panoramic image is merged with the virtual images thus providing a merged image (111). The algorithm produces an image to be viewed (116) of the image merged on the monitor (M) of the simulator, under an azimuth (B1) of the camera. Finally, it superposes on the monitor, the image to be viewed with the digitized image, so as to increase the display realism.
