Abstract

The invention relates to pistols, on the plastic housing (1) of which a sliding carriage (5) containing the barrel (4) is guided in the longitudinal direction, which housing has a trigger guard (3) at the transition to a grip stock (2), and in which housing (1) a locking block (8) is arranged; for an especially light embodiment that is simple to manufacture and nevertheless robust, the locking block (8) forms a unit with the guiding elements (6) of the sliding carriage (5), which unit is arranged in front of the magazine well and extends forward as far as the trigger guard (3), as a result of which the guide length is shortened. The locking block (8) is fixed in the housing (1) by means of a front cross pin (12) and a rear cross pin (13) and accommodates a locking bolt (17) approximately over the second cross pin (13).

Abstract

A handgun curved to correspond more closely with the contours of a person's body, achieving a comfortable fit when the handgun is worn for any appreciable amount of time on the person's body. The handgun housing is inclusive of a top portion, an intermediate portion, and a grip portion, which may be separately connected or integrally formed parts sharing a radius of curvature to form asymmetric left and right sides, particularly a concave side and a convex side. This asymmetry extends beyond the grip portion and includes at least a portion of the trigger guard and a portion of the magazine securing clip.

Abstract

A composite, metal-plastic revolver comprises a metallic structure (1) that forms the cylinder frame (10), provided with an internally threaded aperture (11) for receiving and holding the barrel (12) of the revolver. All the components of the shooting mechanism are housed and/or held in this cylinder frame (10) that defines the metallic structure (1), and thus the assembly of said cylinder frame (10), barrel (12) and shooting mechanism components produces a fully functional semi-finished revolver. The revolver further comprises at least one polymer rear cover (2), plate (65) and part (66) for coating or covering at least part of the metallic structure (1).

Abstract

A method is described for producing firearms, comprising the following steps: the firearm metallic structure (2, 3) is manufactured by a MIM process; the housings, seats and apertures in the metallic structure (2, 3) are calibrated by machining; the metallic structure (2, 3) is subjected to a surface treatment; the barrel (13) is attached; a polymer material (20, 21) is over-moulded on the metallic structure (2, 3); and the finished firearm (1) is assembled. The metallic structure manufacturing step comprises the manufacture of a metallic structure (2) basically composed of the cylinder frame (10) provided with a threaded aperture (12) for attaching the barrel (13), and with the other seats and apertures for attaching the components of the shooting mechanism. Moreover, the polymer material over-moulding step comprises the arrangement of the assembly formed by the metallic structure (2, 3) and the barrel (13) in a suitable injection-moulding die, and over-moulding an upper part (20) and a front part (21) on the outside of said assembly (2/3, 13). In a preferred embodiment, the upper part (20) and the front part (21) are injection-moulded simultaneously, forming a single, integral, finished polymer part.

Abstract

A description is given of a basic mechanism for a pistol (1) designed to operate in DAO mode, and which can easily be adapted to other modes of operation. The pistol comprises, especially, a rod (14) that includes, at said end opposite the trigger (5), a ferrule (16) and a transverse arm (17), said transverse arm (17) projecting from the longitudinal body of the rod (14) towards the central portion of the pistol (1, 40, 50) and having a front surface (18) suitable for engaging mechanically with said detent (24), and a shoulder (19), at the front in relation to the transverse arm (17) and which projects downwards, in the central region of which there is an oblong aperture (20); a pin (21) for guiding the rod, with the longitudinal axis thereof parallel in relation to the length of the pistol (1, 40, 50), said pin (21) for guiding the rod traversing the oblong aperture (20) of the shoulder (19) of the transverse arm (17) so as to limit the upward and downward movement of said transverse arm (17); and a ramp (30) for the rod, in the form of an elongate laminar body, affixed at a lower end to a transverse shaft (22) and, at the opposite, upper end, having a fold outwards in relation to the centre of the pistol (1, 40, 50), defining a contact surface, which acts mechanically against the ferrule (16) of the rod (14). The pistol (40) for operating in SA mode includes, furthermore, a bush (42), in the form of a centrally hollowed cylinder arranged around the pin (21) for guiding the rod so as to limit the forward travel of said rod (14); and a ramp (30') for the rod, comprising a disconnector arm (43) suitable for engaging mechanically with a rib (45) of the bolt (6) so as to move said ramp (30') of the rod inward in relation to the pistol (40). Lastly, the pistol (50), for operation in DA/SA mode, includes, in addition to the ramp (30') for the rod, a lock (51) for the rod, which has the form of an articulated equalizer, defining: a lower portion (54) with an outer surface suitable for actuation by a key and also a spring (55), so as constantly to push said lower portion (54) outward, and an upper portion (56) that comprises an arm (57), which extends parallel to the axis (53) of the lock (51) of the rod, and also a head (58) arranged at the upper end of said lock (51) for the rod; and also a limiter (52), which basically has the shape of a cube, mounted on the pin (21) for guiding the rod in a position between the shoulder (19) of the transverse arm (17) of the rod (14) and the spring (59) arranged around the pin (21) for guiding the rod.
