Abstract

ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In an ignition system having a glow plug, the filament thereof is supplied with power from a generator by means of a switch. The power is controlled so that a constant glow temperature level is obtained, for example by means of predetermined resistance in the filament. The arrangement is associated with a Wheatsone bridge which, during a short interval at the beginning of every heat current cycle, is switched on when generator power is not yet supplied to the glow plug. The balance of the Wheatstone bridge, which indicates whether the glow plug is too hot or too cold, is registered for the present cycle by means of a comparator in which the balance is converted into a logical signal to be the basis of on/off regulation by the switch in the heating circuit of the glow plug.

Abstract

ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE At the start-up of a power chain saw, the throttle control is locked in a starting position by means of a throttle retaining member which may cause the saw chain to start to race and thereby cause injuries when the engine starts, if no arrangement is provided to keep the chain in a rest position. A connection is provided between the retaining member and the brake mechanism mounted in the saw whereby the chain is always braked when the throttle control is in the start position.

Abstract

ABSTRACT An electronic scale in particular intended to be used as a platform scale. The scale comprises a sensor device having six supporting points which in a plan view form the corners of two triangles. The supporting points situated at the corners of one of the triangles are con- nected to a base whereas the scale pan is supported at the supporting points at the corners of the second triangle. The sensor device comprises a body which is so connected to the different supporting points that is is subject to a bending moment when the scale pan is loaded. The sensor device is also provided with electrical means for indicating the bending moment.

RELUCTANCE MOTOR

Abstract

ABSTRACT A reluctance motor comprises a stator having two salient poles, and a rotor also having two poles and being of soft magnetic material. The stator poles support windings which when current is being supplied generate a magnetic field which tends to set the rotor in a stable position of equili- brium in which the rotor pole and the stator pole coincide. Either or both of the rotor poles and/or either or both of the stator poles are designed so as at high flux density to cause a constriction of the flux in a part of the cross section of the flux path to displace the position of equili- brium and when the flux density is moderate to distribute the flux generally uniformly over the said cross section.
