Abstract

The invention relates to a method for optically testing containers, in which a container (10) is conveyed by means of a transport device (30), whereby an image of a side wall surface of the container (10) is generated by means of an inspection unit (40) comprising a camera unit (20) and an illumination unit (34). An inspection volume (24) is spanned by several correspondingly arranged inspection units (40), in which an image of the entire side wall surface (26) of the container (10) is generated in a transmitted light method, an incident light method and/or a dark-field method.

Abstract

A device for processing drinks closure caps having at least one cutting unit with at least one cutting blade and a detection unit which, in turn, has a camera as well as at least one conveying device forming a transport path to and from the cutting unit is disclosed. In order to solve the problems of known devices, the detection unit has an optical system and is arranged operatively downstream of the cutting unit such that it fully captures the inner wall of a drinks closure cap located in its field of vision.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a testing method and a corresponding testing system, for example for testing workpieces (2), which are provided for producing containers, in particular beverage bottles, and which can consist of a basic body and a barrier layer that is at least partially applied to the basic body, whereby the workpieces (2) are transported into a receiving vessel (4) by means of a transport device (3), and whereby an image of the workpieces (2) is generated by means of a capturing device (6) and is transmitted to a processing device for testing, wherein the workpieces (2) are led into the receiving vessel (4) upon leaving the transport device (3), whereby the image is generated between the departure from the transport device (3) and the receiving vessel (4) and wherein the image is processed by the processing device in such a way that the quality of the basic body and/or the quality of the barrier layer of the workpieces (2) is tested in order to detect defective workpieces (2). The same testing system and the same testing method can also be used to count the workpieces (2).

Abstract

a) of a first material, polyethylene or polypropylene, for example, and at least one gas-barrier layer of a different material, EVA or EVOH, for example. An image-recording module (6), such as an infrared camera, records an image of each object (5) and processes the images by means of a processing module (7) in such a way that faulty objects (5) are detected and eliminated. More specifically, the image recording module (6) creates the image of each object (5) within the invisible light spectrum, and the processing module (7) then examines the recorded image, wherein the presence, the absence or the thickness of the gas-barrier layer is determined on the basis of the image.
