The method comprises detecting an energy storage unit state parameter (Z1) which characterizes a state of the energy storage unit (52). Alternatively or additionally, an actuating element state parameter (Z2) is detected which characterizes a state of the actuating element (36). If at least one out of the energy storage unit state parameter (Z1) and actuating element state parameter (Z2) lies outside a respectively associated standard range, a blocking signal is triggered. Furthermore, a monitoring unit (50) for monitoring a state of an emergency brake unit (26) and an emergency brake unit (26) are presented.

Abstract

Circular saws having a blade that moves relative to a stationary base structure during operative use of the circular saws to cut a workpiece and methods of detecting a kickback condition of such circular saws. The circular saws include a base structure, a user-actuated assembly, an attachment structure, and a controller. The attachment structure is configured to permit constrained relative motion between the base structure and the user-actuated assembly in a motion direction and during operative use of the circular saw to cut the workpiece. A motion sensor is configured to generate a motion signal indicative of motion of the user-actuated assembly along the motion direction. The controller is programmed to initiate a kickback response of the circular saw responsive to the motion signal being indicative of a kickback condition of the circular saw.

Abstract

The invention relates to a table saw (30) comprising: a support structure (12) having a rest portion (1) which provides a rest surface (8) on which a workpiece (11) can rest; a saw blade (2) which engages through an opening of the rest portion (1) so that at least one part of the saw blade (2) is located below the rest-portion underside (14); and a housing assembly (80) which is located below the rest-portion underside (14) and surrounds the part of the saw blade (2) located below the rest-portion underside (14), wherein the saw blade (2) together with the housing assembly (80) can be pivoted relative to the rest portion (1) in order to set an angle between a cutting plane of the saw blade (2) and the rest surface (8). The table saw also comprises a cover flap (87), which covers a gap formed between the housing assembly (80) and the rest-portion underside (14) when the housing assembly (80) is pivoted, in order to prevent a user of the table saw from reaching through the gap towards the saw blade.

Abstract

The invention relates to a connection device (1A, 1B) for fluidically connecting a suction hose (2) to a functional unit (3A, 3B), in particular a suction device (4), a tool (5), and/or a nozzle. The connection device (1A, 1B) has a first hollow cylindrical connection section (6) and a second hollow cylindrical connection section (7), wherein one of the connection sections (6) is connected to or can be connected to the suction hose (2), and the other connection section (7) is connected to a can be connected to the functional unit (3A, 3B). One of the connection sections (6) is located at least partly within the other connection section (7), and the outer circumference (15) of the connection section (6) contacts the inner circumference (14) of the other connection section (7). The two connection sections (6, 7) are rotatably mounted relative to each other in order to provide a rotational compensation for the suction hose (2), and an electric connection is provided between the two connection sections (6, 7) in order to provide an anti-static function. The invention is characterized in that the first connection section (6) comprises an elastic section (8) which can be deformed in the radial direction and by means of which the contact with the second connection section (7) is carried out.
