Abstract
An LED driver includes a power input configured to receive an input power; a dimmer switch input configured to receive a brightness input; and a power supply coupled to the power input and the dimmer switch input, the power supply having a plurality of selectable transfer functions and a currently selected transfer function of the plurality of selectable transfer functions, the power supply being configured to generate an output power from the input power, the output power having a level based on a value of the brightness input and the currently selected transfer function.

Abstract
A method of monitoring a power factor correcting (PFC) power supply is provided. The method includes: powering on the PFC power supply with a constant current; starting a runtime counter that increments a count value; measuring an output voltage; calculating an output power by multiplying the constant current by the output voltage; storing the output power in a random-access memory (RAM); calculating an input power by multiplying the output power by an efficiency curve factor; and storing the input power in the RAM.

Abstract
A dual stage power converter capable of being installing in a one-gang box and powering an LED load is presented. The dual stage converter can include a power factor correction (PFC) stage operating in transition mode and a resonant converter stage operating at a fixed frequency with a fixed duty cycle and dead time. A dimmer input may be included to select a desired luminosity of the LED load. A main controller adjusts the value of the voltage output from the PFC stage in order to maintain the voltage output from the resonant stage at the desired level.
