Abstract

The aim of the invention, which relates to a method for producing a 3D structure in a 3D printing method, is that of specifying a solution by means of which an automated correction of the 3D printing data used for the 3D printing method for the 3D structure (30) to be generated is carried out when deviations occur during the manufacturing of the 3D structures (31). This aim is achieved in that: the 3D printing data are data of a target geometry (30) of the 3D structure; the generated 3D structure (31) is three-dimensionally measured after the 3D structure (31) is generated, wherein three-dimensional de facto incomplete data of an actual geometry (31) of the 3D structure are generated which are reproduced in a model (34) that comprises one or more unscanned regions (35); first deviations between points P (37) on a surface of the target geometry of the 3D structure and associated points P' (36) on the surface of the actual geometry (31) of the 3D structure are determined in the scanned regions; further deviations (29) in the unscanned regions (35) of the surface of the generated 3D structure (31) are determined; and corrected 3D printing data (38) are generated by means of these determined first and further deviations (28, 29).

Abstract

The invention relates to an assembly and a method for applying particulate building material (2) in a 3D printer, with the objective of reducing forces acting on already applied layers of the particulate building material (2) and partially already hardened regions of the particulate building material (2) with the application of a further layer of the particulate building material (2). This objective is achieved by the assembly in that, in front of the smoothing means (9), when viewed in a moving direction (4) of the smoothing means (9), there is a means for discharging excess particulate building material (2) from an accumulation (10) in front of the smoothing means (9). The objective is achieved by the method in that, in a working step of smoothing the particulate building material (2) applied to a surface of the building field (3) by an applicator (1), with said building material collecting in an accumulation (10) in front of a smoothing means (9), the height H (13) of the accumulation (10) is controlled such that particulate building material (2) is partially removed from the accumulation (10).

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for influencing components or assemblies in a 3D printer (1). The aim of the invention is to provide a solution with which an automatic adjustment or a modified actuation of components or assemblies in a 3D printer (1) is achieved. This is achieved in that control data (8) with parameters, by means of which the production of a 3D structure (10) in a 3D printer (1) is controlled, is generated from input data (9) in a processing step (15), and the 3D structure (10) is produced such that a produced 3D structure (10) is measured, wherein the actual measurements are ascertained and stored as data, a comparison is carried out between the specified input data (9) measurements and the data of the actual measurements, and differences are ascertained. In the event that such a difference is ascertained or such a difference exceeds a specified tolerance threshold, at least one parameter of the control data (8) is modified.

Abstract

The invention, which relates to a method for monitoring a surface profile in a 3D printer, addresses the problem of specifying a solution with which the surface profile of a layer of a particulate construction material on a construction area or of 3D part-structures within a layer of a particulate construction material on the construction area can be sensed simply, rapidly and safely to monitor the quality of the production of a 3D structure, in which method the technical complexity and costs are reduced. This problem is solved in that an optical analysis of the generated image of the surface profile (1) is carried out, and during this analysis it is determined whether 3D part-structures and/or a structure of the particulate construction material (2) applied layer by layer have been produced correctly or incorrectly.

Abstract

The invention, which relates to a method for creating a 3D structure, addresses the problem of specifying a solution with which the layers are built up more reliably and more exactly in a 3D printing method. This object is achieved in that the data of the 3D structure to be created are analysed, during which critical regions within the 3D structure to be created are identified, and in that, if an identified critical region is reached during the creation of the 3D structure, a speed of movement of working means of the 3D printer over the construction area is at least temporarily reduced.

Abstract

The invention relates to a metering unit (1) in a printhead of a 3D printer and to a method for metering a fluid (5) in a 3D printer. The problem addressed by the invention is that of providing a solution by means of which improved quality and reliability are achieved in the metering of a fluid (5) by means of a metering unit (1). Abstract

The invention, which concerns an arrangement and a method for generating a layer of a particulate building material in a 3D printer, is based on the problem of providing a solution whereby an increase in the quantity of the material deposited, with the same quality being maintained, and a reduction in the forces acting on the building zone are achieved while the particulate building material is being applied, smoothed and compacted. This problem is solved with respect to the arrangement by having in the arrangement (1) that can be moved over a building zone (5) a first assembly (4a), which has a means (2) for applying the particulate building material (10) onto a building zone (5), and a second assembly (4b), which is arranged spatially at a distance from the first assembly (4a) in the arrangement (1) and has a means (3) for smoothing the particulate building material (10) applied. This problem is solved with respect to the method by providing that, in a first method step, by means of a coater arrangement (1), which is provided over a building zone (5) and can be moved over this building zone (5), the particulate building material (10) is applied on the building zone (5) and that, in a second method step, which follows at a time after the first method step and is independent thereof, a smoothing of the particulate building material (10) applied is performed, wherein the first and second method steps are carried out during a process of moving the coater arrangement (1) over the building zone (5).

Abstract

The invention relates to an assembly and a method for creating a 3D structure, wherein the object of the invention is to provide a solution for an improved compression of a particulate construction material to be applied in layers, as well as for increased speed in the forming of the individual layers. With the assembly, this object is achieved in that a compressor element (2) having a blade with a least one cutting edge is arranged in the compressor assembly (1) for compressing the particulate construction material to be applied in layers, and in that the width of the cutting edge at one end of the cutting edge, which is in contact with particles (11) of a particulate construction material during a compression process, is in a range between 0.1 and 3 times the diameter of a particle of the particulate construction material. With the method, the object is achieved in that the compression of the construction material occurs by means of a compressor element (2) having a blade with a least one cutting edge and arranged in a compressor assembly (1), wherein the width of said cutting edge at one end of the cutting edge, which is in contact with particles (11) of a particulate construction material during a compression process, is in a range between 0.1 and 3 times the diameter of a particle of the particulate material, wherein the compressor element (2) is moved in a linear movement direction (12) by means of a drive element (3).
