Abstract

Techniques for conveyor systems that integrate robotic smart carrier nests whose configurations are dynamically changed based on product geometry are provided. In one embodiment, a system can include a modular nest configured to hold product during assembly. The modular nest includes a first actuator comprising a first pair of gripping arms that open and close in a first direction based on a first signal. The modular nest also includes a second actuator comprising a second pair of gripping arms that open and close in a second direction based on a second signal. The first signal and the second signal are based on a geometry of the product. Further, the first direction and the second direction are different directions.

Abstract

A method and a system are disclosed for detecting the features of a water layer in layered enclosures of single unit dose products. Thanks to the method and the system of the invention, the layered enclosures may be manufactured to higher specifications and quality owing to real time control of the features of the water layer between the enclosure layers. The technical advantage of the method of the invention consists in the possibility to detect the features after formation of the layered enclosure is complete—hence inspecting the finished product—and to feed back the detected information to the very water laying device for a real time adjustment of the features of the water layer at the areas where acceptance criteria are not met.

Abstract

Three-dimensional (3D) image modeling systems and methods are disclosed herein for determining respective mid-section dimensions of individuals. Digital image(s) depicting at least a mid-section portion of an individual are obtained. A fit finder application (app) determines a rough 3D model based on the digital image(s). A parametric 3D model of a predefined individual is mapped to the rough 3D model in virtual 3D space to generate a fitted 3D model indicative of a physical size of at least the mid-section portion of the individual in ordinary space. A mid-section dimension of the individual is then determined based on the fitted 3D model.

Abstract

The need for a detergent composition which provides reduced dye transfer to co-washed fabrics, but also reduced dye fading during laundering is met by formulating the detergent composition with a combination of a branched nonionic surfactant and a dye transfer inhibition (DTI) polymer.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a process for making a packaged laundry detergent powder, wherein the process comprises the steps of: (a) obtaining a laundry detergent base powder comprising detersive surfactant; (b) contacting citric acid particles to a detergent base powder in a mixer to form a laundry detergent powder, wherein the citric acid particles have a weight average particle size of from 100µm to less than 450µm, and wherein at least 99wt% of the citric acid particles have a particle size of from 100µm to less than 650µm, wherein the laundry detergent powder, upon dilution in deionized water at 20oC to a concentration of 1g/l has a pH in the range of from 2.0 to 4.0, and wherein the laundry detergent powder comprises: (i) from 1wt% to 60wt% detersive surfactant; and (ii) from 40wt% to 80wt% citric acid; (c) transferring the laundry detergent powder from the mixer to a storage vessel; and (d) transferring the laundry detergent powder from the storage vessel to a package to form a packaged laundry detergent powder, wherein steps (b), (c) and (d) are carried out at an equilibrium relative humidity (eRH) of 45% or less.

Abstract

An absorbent article comprises an absorbent chassis and a belt. The absorbent chassis comprises an absorbent core, a first lateral end, a second lateral end, and a length in a longitudinal direction extending between the first lateral end and the second lateral end. The belt comprises a continuous ring of at least one material configured for wear around a waist of a wearer that is operatively engageable with the first lateral end and the second lateral end, wherein at least a portion of the continuous ring is expandable, wherein the absorbent chassis is disposable, and the belt is reusable with and re-attachable to one or more additional absorbent chassis.
