Abstract

The invention relates to a torch with a torch housing and a torch head. The invention further relates to a method for producing such a torch. The invention addresses the problem of creating a simply constructed and robust torch with a rotary switch, on which the selected function can be clearly assigned and therefore no regular function check is required. To this end, according to the invention, the torch housing and the torch head are connected to one another in a captive manner so as to be rotatable relative to one another, in order to form a rotary switch with different switching states, wherein marks which permit the switching states to be clearly assigned are arranged on the housing side and torch head side. Also according to the invention, after the first assembly of the torch and after a first activation, the switching states for subsequent activation processes are clearly defined by means of a mark on the torch head side and a mark on the housing side.
