Abstract

The invention relates to a brush (16), in particular a brush (16) to be arranged in an attachment device (1) of an electrically operated vacuum cleaner, having a tubular brush body (17) and bristles (19) fixed to said brush body, wherein the brush body (17) has a coupling formation (20) for rotary interaction with a device-end driven shaft (8) in the region of one end, and a closure cap (24) in the region of the other end, wherein the drive shaft (8) is supported in the radial direction both in the region of the coupling formation (20) and in the end region which faces the closure cap (24). In order to further improve a brush of the type under discussion, in particular in terms of an extended service life, together with further reduced noise emission in the operating state, the invention proposes that the cap-end radial support of the shaft (8) is formed by a bearing section (22) which acts on the shaft (8) in a spring-like manner in the radial direction.
