Abstract
The present application relates to a method and apparatus for recognizing rod-shaped objects in images, and to a computer device and a storage medium. The method comprises: based on an initial rod-shaped object identification result from detecting rod-shaped objects in a plurality of consecutive image frames, determining from the plurality of consecutive image frames at least two consecutive image frames containing a rod-shaped object; determining device orientation data for an image capture device when capturing the at least two consecutive image frames, and based on the device orientation data, projecting detection points of the preceding image frame onto a benchmark image to obtain a detection point projection; based on a fitted straight line of an initial rod-shaped object identification result for the benchmark image and based on the detection point projection, identifying the same rod-shaped object in the benchmark image and in the preceding image frame; using an epipolar line search to project the detection points onto the benchmark image, obtaining epipolar lines in the benchmark image; and based on matching points where the epipolar lines intersect the fitted straight line, positioning the rod-shaped object in the benchmark image, obtaining an identification result for the rod-shaped object in the benchmark image.
