Abstract

[Problem] To more effectively reduce noise occurring during the operation of engaging a tongue. [Solution] A slider (13), which is retained at a non-locking position at which a latch member (9) is not locked, pivots together with the latch member (9) during the activation of the latch member (9) and moves so as to enter between the latch member (9) and a lock pin (10). The front end (13a) of the slider (13) comes into contact with the front end (25a4) of a damper (24) before coming into contact with the stopper section (11f) of an operation button (11), and the slider (13) moves while contracting a damper spring (26). As a result, the speed of movement of the slider (13) is reduced. When the front end (13a) is in contact with the stopper section (11f), the slider (13) is at a lock position at which the latch member (9) located at a latch position is locked. Noise generated when a tongue engages with a buckle (7) is reduced because the slider (13) comes into contact with the stopper section (11f) at a reduced speed.

Abstract

[Problem] To form a smaller and more compact pretensioner, thereby increasing the degree of installation freedom, while quickly and effectively applying the required tension to the seatbelt during an emergency. [Solution] By means of a pressure gas generated by a gas generator (14) during an emergency, a piston (15) generates pressing force, thereby pressing an arc-shaped seatbelt pressing member (12a). Consequently, the seatbelt pressing member (12a) breaks open a stopper (25) and moves along a circular trajectory which is concentric with or substantially concentric with a curved part (13b) of a pipe (13). Thus, the seatbelt pressing member (12a) presses the front end part (4c) of the seatbelt (4), so the seatbelt (4) is pulled and the front end part (4c) thereof is pulled into a frame (9) while being bent into a U shape. Accordingly, the seatbelt (4) tightens, thereby increasing the restraining force the passenger.

Abstract

[Problem] To cancel both the function of a vehicle sensor and the function of a webbing sensor under a predetermined condition by a simple structure and with a small number of components. [Solution] When a seat belt (4) is entirely wound, a cam follower (22b) comes into contact with a first cam portion (20a), an actuator pressing portion (23b) therefore presses an actuator (13b) to a non-actuating position, and the function of a vehicle sensor (13) is canceled. When a large load is applied to the actuator pressing portion (23b) in this canceled state, the load is supported by the first cam portion (20a), and thereby first and second levers (22, 23) do not rotate, thus preventing the cancellation of the function of the vehicle sensor (13) from being cancelled. Further, when a locking claw (22c) separates from ratchet teeth (17b), a ring gear (17) becomes rotatable, and the function of a webbing sensor (12) is cancelled.
