Abstract

Provided are a molding device and molding method that can suppress variations in quenching properties of metal pipe. When, in a state wherein an upper mold 12 and a lower mold 11 are aligned with each other, a control unit 70 supplies a gas to the inside of metal pipe material 14 from a gas supply unit 60 so as to mold the metal pipe material 14 within the main cavity into a pipe part, the control unit controls the gas supply unit to supply the gas such that a first pressure is maintained for the pressure inside the metal pipe material 14. Thus, it is possible to prevent reductions in pressure within the pipe part that accompany cooling of the pipe part caused by contact of the pipe part with the upper mold 12 and lower mold 11. By preventing the lowering of pressure within the pipe part, reductions in the force pressing the pipe part to the upper mold 12 and the lower mold 11 can be suppressed. Therefore, it is possible to suppress reductions in the adherence of the pipe part with the upper mold 12 and the lower mold 11 during metal pipe molding and suppress occurrences of variations in quenching properties in the pipe part of the metal pipe.

Abstract

To provide a forming system and a forming method capable of improving sealing properties when a fluid is supplied to a metal pipe material. In a forming system (100), a controller (20) controls a heater (6) so as to heat end parts (14a and 14b) of a metal pipe material (14) at least before the supply of a fluid by a fluid supply unit (10). Therefore, at least before the supply of the fluid by the fluid supply unit (10), the end parts (14a and 14b) of the metal pipe material (14) are likely to be deformed by being heated by the heater (6). In such a state, the end parts (14a and 14b) of the metal pipe material (14) can be easily expanded by a pressing force generated by pressing nozzles (7 and 8) against the end parts (14a and 14b) of the metal pipe material 14, respectively. Accordingly, the nozzles (7 and 8) can secure sufficient airtightness via expanded parts (14c and 14d) of the metal pipe material 14.

Abstract

Provided are: a molding device that makes it possible to obtain a molded article that has suitable characteristics; and a molding method. A control unit (70) uses a cooling medium to cool a metal pipe (80) by controlling the operation of a blow molding die (13) so that said blow molding die (13) opens after the completion of molding by the blow molding die (13) and controlling a cooling unit (90) so that the cooling medium is brought into contact with the metal pipe (80). By bringing the cooling medium into contact with the metal pipe (80) in order to perform cooling, it is possible to reduce the cooling speed as compared to when the blow molding die (13) is brought into contact with the metal pipe (80), and it becomes possible to perform firing that enhances the toughness of the metal pipe (80). In addition, by adjusting the amount of time that the cooling medium is brought into contact, the amount of the cooling medium, the temperature of the cooling medium, and the like when using the cooling medium to perform cooling, it is possible to adjust firing properties more easily than when the die is brought into contact with the metal pipe (80).

Abstract

A molding device capable of improving the quality of a molded product is provided. A control unit (70) controls a blow mechanism (60) such that it supplies gas into a metal pipe material (14) and performs expansion molding. By this means, the metal pipe material (14) is expansion-molded to a shape corresponding to a main cavity portion (MC), and a section corresponding to a flange portion (80b) of the finished product expands toward a sub-cavity portion (SC). The control unit (70) controls a drive unit (81) such that it molds the flange portion (80b) by crushing a second molded section (14b) of the expanded metal pipe material (14) using the sub-cavity portion (SC). Here, the sub-cavity portion (SC) communicates with the outside of the die during molding of the flange portion (80b), and therefore air between the inner surfaces of the sub-cavity portion (SC) and the second molded section (14b) of the metal pipe material (14) can escape to the outside of the die.

Abstract

An object is to reduce the axial dimension of an injection apparatus, melt a molding material uniformly, and improve the quality of molded products. A screw (20) comprises a plasticizing portion which comprises a body portion (45a) and a flight (53) projectingly formed on an outer circumferential surface of the body portion (45a). A groove-depth setting region is defined over a predetermined section of the plasticizing portion, and in the groove-depth setting region, the ratio .gamma.1 of a groove depth .tau.1 to a diameter .delta.1 of pellets of a molding material falls within the range of 1 <= .gamma.1 <= 1.5 where the groove depth .tau.1 is a depth of a groove (67) formed along the flight (53) In the groove (67), pellets are arranged laterally and caused to advance while rolling along the groove (67). Since the pellets do not aggregate, no solid bed is formed.

Abstract

An object is to reduce the cost of a screw (20) and improve the quality of molded products. A rear end of the screw (20) is connected to a drive apparatus. The screw includes a screw head, a reverse-flow prevention apparatus, and a plasticizing member disposed rearward of the reverse-flow prevention apparatus. The plasticizing member includes a screw body (52), a flight (53) projectingly formed on an outer circumferential surface of the screw body (52), and a pressure member (54) formed to extend over a predetermined distance from the front end of the screw body (52) and to be located adjacent to the reverse-flow prevention apparatus. The pressure member (54) has a flat outer circumferential surface. Since the pressure member (54) has a flat outer circumferential surface having a diameter equal to or greater than the diameter of the screw body (52), the shape of the screw (20) can be simplified, and the cost of the screw (20) can be lowered. In addition, the number of locations where a molding material stagnates can be reduced.

Abstract

Abstract of the Disclosure A pulverized coal slurry containing 5-25 weight percent pulverized coal particles, more than 50 weight percent of the particles being minus 200 mesh, is subjected to flotation for deashing and desulfurizing treatments to thereby recover as froth cleaned coal of 15-30 weight percent concentration. This froth is dewatered into a high solids concentration coal-water slurry of more than 60 weight percent. This slurry can be transported by pipe flow as a fluid fuel or it can be burned directly in a boiler without need for dewatering. In addition, the high-degree of deashing of the slurry according to the invention enhances combustion efficiency and reduces abrasion of the boiler.
