Abstract

This shutoff system is provided with a straight pipe formed from a polyolefin material, and a knife gate. Along the distal end of the knife gate, a semi-circular arcuate first cutting blade is formed for cutting open the straight pipe to create a slit-like opening. Along the proximal end of the knife gate, a sealing part, in the form of a circularly arced strip, for contacting cut surfaces of the straight pipe is formed. The knife gate has a pair of lateral rims that range between and join the first cutting blade and the sealing part. The first cutting blade and the lateral rims run along the inner peripheral surface of the straight pipe, biting into the inner peripheral surface. The knife gate is formed in a flat plate having a first face and a second face, from the first cutting blade to the sealing part and in the interval between the pair of lateral rims. The opening extends circumferentially along the straight pipe. The sealing part extends from one edge of the opening to another edge, and from the one edge to the other edge, extends from the inner peripheral surface to the outermost peripheral surface on the most-outer side of the straight pipe.

Abstract

The present invention provides a pipe joint configured so that when a lock body (20) is no longer being pressed by a press bolt (30), the lock body (20) slips off the outer periphery of a second pipe (120) into which a claw (21) had been engaged and so that loss of the lock body (20) is prevented during transport or the like; and when an external force acts in the direction in which the second pipe (120) slips out of a first pipe (110), a sufficient tilting range can be obtained. The pipe joint is provided with an annular press ring (10) attached at the exterior of the insertion end (121) of the second pipe (120), the lock body (20) having the claw (21) that bites into the outer periphery of the second pipe (120), the press bolt (30) for causing the lock body (20) to project from the inner periphery of the press ring (10), and an elastic member (40) for holding the lock body (20). The press ring (10) is provided with a pressing part (11) and an acting part (13) that has a space (13d). The elastic member (40) is stretchable and is configured so as to pull the lock body (20) along the inclined surface (13f) of the space (13d), retract the claw (21) of the lock body (20) into the space (13d), and cause the claw (21) to project from the inside of the space (13d).

Abstract

A device for work implementation without stopping flow is provided with a sealed case (20) having a bifurcation-like branch hole (23) which is formed in a first divided case (21) and extends in a radial direction (C) of an existing pipe (1), and a rubber gasket (30) which seals the gap between the sealed case (20) and the existing pipe (1). A flange (28) for mounting and removing a boring machine (3) is provided in the first divided case (21). The sealed case (20) is capable of reciprocating in the pipe axial direction (L). The rubber gasket (30) forms a first sealed region (S1) which surrounds that area of the sealed case (20) where the branch hole (23) is provided, thereby covering up the branch hole (23); and a second sealed region (S2) which is adjacent to the first sealed region (S1) and is sealed with respect to the first sealed region (S1), which is located away from the first sealed region (S1) in the pipe axial direction (L), and which has a size large enough to be capable of covering up a hole bored by a cutter (3a).
