Abstract

A lighting device (10), for attachment to an object (16) structured to be worn on at least one facial feature of a human user, having a releasable fastener (12) adapted for attachment to the above-noted object and a pole (18), having a first end pivotably connected to the releasable fastener (12), and a second end, opposed to the first end. An electric lamp (20) is pivotably connected to the second end. Further, the pole (18) defines an internal cavity and has battery contacts (32, 34) positioned to contact a battery set (24) placed in the internal cavity. A conductive assembly (36) is electrically connected between the battery contacts (32, 34) and the electric lamp (20), so as to power the electric lamp (20).

Abstract

A suture assembly, including a button having two apertures and a suture defining a lumen and forming a double loop, formed by a double trap having a first end and a second end, opposed to the button. A first portion of the suture is threaded through the trap from the first end to the second end, and a second portion of the suture is threaded through the trap from the second end to the first end. The assembly further defines a first single trap, in which the first portion of the suture is threaded through the lumen between the second end and the button. Also defined by the assembly is a third trap, in which the second portion of the suture is threaded through the lumen between the first end and the button. Finally, the double loop is threaded through the two apertures of the button.

Abstract

A method of forming a suture tape assembly (18) having a visually distinguishable midpoint (20) includes weaving a longitudinally central portion of a length of round suture material (12) together with other strands of material to form a length of suture tape (14). This suture tape has a longitudinal first end and a longitudinal second end, and the length of round suture (12) material extends from both the first end and second end. Next, a center part of the length of the round suture material (12) is grasped and pulled outwardly from the suture tape, to form a partial loop extending outwardly from the suture tape. This partial loop is cut from the suture tape, thereby leaving a longitudinally medial segment (20) of the suture tape without the round suture material (12), and thereby being made visibly distinguishable from neighboring suture tape, which includes the round suture material.
