Abstract

A recoil reduction stock assembly for a shoulder-fired firearm is described that includes a rear stock section housing a recoil reduction mechanism attachable to firearms with different receiver rear faces by using a front stock section having a rear face attachable to the rear stock section front face and a front face attachable to the rear face of the receiver. The assembly may include one rear stock section housing the recoil reduction mechanism and a plurality of front stock sections, each front stock section having the same rear face profile, but different front face profiles conforming to different receiver rear faces. The recoil reduction mechanism includes a compressible spring and a plunger, whereby recoil of said firearm compresses the spring against the plunger to absorb recoil. The assembly may also include a cheek rest slidably attached over a part of the rear stock section and attached to the recoil mechanism.

Abstract

A stock assembly for attachment to a firearm assembly is described. The stock assembly includes a buttstock having a longitudinal conduit and a locking member; a connector tube with, front and back ends slidable within the buttstock conduit between a fully inserted position and a fully extended position, the tube having a longitudinal conduit; an attachment member slidable within the tube conduit between a forward position and a rearward position, the attachment member having a front end attachable to the firearm assembly and a rear end; a spring within the connector tube engaging the rear end of the attachment member, the spring urging the attachment member toward its forward position; and locking means preventing rotation of the attachment member relative to the connector tube, while allowing the attachment member to move within the tube between its forward and rearward positions.

Abstract

A golf club head having a front surface with a substantially planar face, a lower edge and a ball impact area, is constructed with a composite core of metal and plastic, with the core being enclosed in an injection molded plastic sheath. The core may be formed of layers of metal and plastic, or an injection molded plastic having metal particles dispersed therein. The metal to plastic weight ratio is preferably from about 90:10 to about 10:90. For putter heads, the head also includes a resilient section in the front surface having a face flush with the front surface, a lower edge aligned with the front surface lower edge, and an upper edge below the ball initial impact area. An exposed section of the non-resilient core may serve as the initial striking surface, while a front section of the resilient sheath may serve as the second ball striking surface.
