This dehumidifier is provided with: a housing 1 having an intake port 2, a blowout port 3, and a display unit 5a; an air-blowing unit that blows out, from the blowout port 3, air drawn into the housing 1 via the intake port 2; a dehumidifier unit 10 that is provided inside the housing 1 so as to be traversed by the air drawn in by the air-blowing unit, and removes moisture from the air passing therethrough; an airflow direction change part that changes the direction of the air blown out from the blowout port 3; a control unit 12 that displays, on the display unit 5a, a plurality of areas where air can be blown, which are areas where the air blown out from the blowout port 3 can be blown; and an operation unit 5 that receives a selection operation for selecting an area to which air is to be blown from the plurality of areas where air can be blown displayed on the display unit 5a. If the operation unit 5 has received a selection operation, the control unit 12 operates the airflow direction change part such that air is blown to the area to which air is to be blown that was selected in the selection operation.
