The present invention comprises: a sensor unit 30 equipped with a ground conductor 40 extending in a liquid level detection direction and a plurality of electrodes 31 arrayed in the liquid level detection direction and forming an electrostatic capacitance between themselves and the ground conductor 40; an adjustment unit 70; a switch means 80; an identification means 90; and a liquid level determination means 100. The electrodes 31 are divided into n groups. An i-th group (i = 1, 2, ..., n) is formed of electrodes 31 at the 2i -1(2k - 1)th position from the last in the liquid level detection direction (where k is a natural number from 1 to 2n - i). The electrodes 31 belonging to the same group are connected in parallel and connected to the switch means 80. The identification means identifies the magnitude of the electrostatic capacitance of the i-th group and a group combining the (i +1)-th group through the n-th group for when i = 1, 2, ..., n -1, and identifies the magnitude of the electrostatic capacitance of the n-th group and the adjustment unit 70. The switch means 80 sequentially switches the connection of each group with the identification means 90 to enable identification. The liquid level is determined on the basis of the identification by the identification means 90.

In the present invention a detection unit of a touch panel has sensor electrodes and a plurality of lead-out wires connected to the sensor electrodes. Each lead-out wire is provided with a wiring main section. The sensor electrodes are provided with a plurality of electrode main sections and a plurality of connection sections. The wiring main sections and electrode main sections are formed by repeatedly arranging side by side, in a first direction, unit patterns having a prescribed shape. In a second direction two adjacent electrode main sections are connected to each other by at least one connection section. Connections sections which are near to each other in the second direction are in different positions in the first direction. In each electrode main section, when two or more connection sections are side by side in the first direction, three consecutive unit patterns are connected by no more than two connection sections, or are not connected to one electrode main section positioned adjacent thereto in the second direction.
A socket connector includes a socket housing in which an island part and a peripheral wall surrounding the island part project upward from a bottom plate, a plurality of socket contacts arranged in the socket housing, and two protective metal fittings. In a cutting step, a half-dome part of the two protective metal fittings is formed by cutting a metal plate in such a way that a dome part in a symmetrical shape formed by drawing in the metal plate is split into two halves along a line of symmetry. In a press-fitting step, two press-fitting parts of each socket hold-down are press-fit into two long walls, respectively.
An object of the present invention is to provide a structure, a sliding member and a connector, having a surface (sliding surface) that is excellent in abrasion resistance and can keep contact resistance low for a long period, and a method for producing the structure. The object is attained by a structure having a configuration where a nanocarbon material is disposed on an at least partial surface of a metal, a sliding member and a connector, having the configuration, and a method for producing the structure. In the structure, it is preferred that a coating containing the nanocarbon material and an organic compound having at least a first functional group having affinity for the metal and a second functional group having affinity for the nanocarbon material should be disposed on the at least partial surface of the metal.

Totally six polarization-maintaining optical fibers having the same beat length are arranged at both ends of a single-mode optical fiber and both ends of a single-mode optical fiber coil, respectively. An angle between a principal axis of polarization in a first polarization-maintaining optical fiber and a plane of polarization of linearly polarized light from a light source is 45 degrees. The optical length of each of the six polarization-maintaining optical fibers is larger than a coherent length of the linearly polarized light from the light source. The total of the optical lengths of the six polarization-maintaining optical fibers into which polarization rotation in the process of passing through the single-mode optical fibers is factored is larger than the coherent length of the linearly polarized light from the light source.

A method of manufacturing a receptacle includes an assembly manufacturing step, an accommodating step, and an insert molding step. The assembly manufacturing step manufactures each receptacle contact assembly in such a way that a base includes two supporting bases with a coupling base interposed therebetween in a pitch direction. The accommodating step accommodates a plurality of receptacle contact assemblies into an injection mold in such a way that each receptacle contact assembly is supported at both ends in the injection mold by using the two supporting bases. The insert molding step molds a receptacle housing integrally with the plurality of receptacle contact assemblies by insert molding.
An accommodating step accommodates a plug contact assembly into an injection mold in such a way that the plug contact assembly is supported at both ends in the injection mold by using two supporting parts. An insert molding step molds a plug housing integrally with the plug contact assembly by insert molding in such a way that a coupling beam of the plug contact assembly is between two width side surfaces and separated from the two width side surfaces in the width direction. A separation step removes at least part of the plug contact assembly to as to disjoin the plurality of plug contacts.

A wiring board includes a conductor pattern formed on a board, and an insulating film that covers at least part of the conductor pattern. A first insulating film is provided in a first region on the board, the first region covering at least part of the conductor pattern and having a first border segment. A second insulating film is provided in a second region on the board, the second region covering at least part of the first region and having a second border segment. The second border segment is located outside the first region, and the shortest distance from any point belonging to the second border segment to the first border segment is not more than 400 μm.

A connector comprises an insert-molded body. The insert-molded body comprises a holding member and a plurality of terminals. The terminals include at least one first terminal and at least one second terminal. The first terminal has a first mounted portion and a first main portion. The first mounted portion has a first carrier cut-off surface which is an end surface of the first mounted portion. The end surface of the first mounted portion faces in a width direction. The second terminal has a second mounted portion, a second main portion and an unmounted portion. The unmounted portion has a second carrier cut-off surface which is an end surface of the unmounted portion. The end surface of the unmounted portion faces in the width direction. The first carrier cut-off surface and the second carrier cut-off surface face in orientations same as each other in the width direction.
