Abrégé

Systems and methods include receiving a physical currency transfer request from a physical currency receiver device of a physical currency receiver, and identifying a physical currency deliverer device of a physical currency deliverer. A physical currency delivery confirmation code is then associated with a recipient identified in the request, and a virtual currency address controlled by the physical currency deliverer and included in a virtual currency public ledger is identified to the receiver device. A reimbursement request code is then received from the deliverer device and verified using the physical currency delivery confirmation code. In response to the verification, a multi-signature transaction that has been previously signed by the physical currency receiver is then signed to cause a virtual currency amount to be transferred via the virtual currency public ledger to the virtual currency address controlled by the physical currency deliverer.

Abrégé

Systems and methods are provided that allow a proprietor of a location or merchant to which a user is interacting through a third party to send a push notification to a user device associated with the user using the third party as a proxy. The provided systems and methods may assign an interaction identifier to the user and interaction when an interaction request is received by the third party that may be later used to identify the user and user device to which a notification received from the proprietor or merchant will be pushed. The user may be able to define rules and settings that limit the scope and timing of the push notifications that can be received, and the third party may determine if notifications received from the proprietor or merchant meet these rules and settings before pushing the notifications to the user device and user.

Abrégé

A search engine determines a number of pages to present to a user based on one or more of a variety of factors. The search engine may send the search results to a client machine, which may present a subset of the results along with a pagination control in a scrollable interface. The pagination control may present the number of pages determined by the search engine. The search engine may also determine a number of search results to present prior to the presentation of non-scrollable user interface (UI) elements based on the same or different factors. After the amount of scrolling exceeds a threshold, a non-scrollable UI element may be displayed. Additional thresholds may exist, such that additional non-scrollable UI elements are added as the user continues to scroll.

A mechanism provides a master token with a quality score and sub-tokens for each app that can use the sub-token and the score quality to evaluate the security level provided by the initial login, allowing each app to skip its own login process and providing enhanced efficiency and convenience for the user. A method includes authenticating a user; creating a master token on the user device; creating a sub-token of the master token for an app launched on the device; the app skipping the login process of the app in response to the sub-token so that the app proceeds directly to validating a transaction. Abrégé

A merchant initiates a payment process by sending transaction details, merchant information, and a user or customer phone number to a payment service provider. The payment service provider sends a message to the user device, either asking the user to confirm the payment or communicating an authorization code. In the former, the user may be asked to simply confirm or communicate a user code. In the latter, the user communicates the authorization code to the merchant, who then communicates it to the payment servicer provider. In either case, once received and approved, the payment service provider sends a confirmation message to the merchant and the user that the payment has been approved and processed. Communication can be by text or verbal.

Abrégé

A user's smart phone is used for payments and holding information, similar to what is contained in a physical wallet. Depending on transaction details, user preferences, and location, one or more "best" funding instruments for the transaction are selected for the user, who may then revise if desired. Access to different functions or information within the phone may vary and require different authentication/security levels depending on type of use (e.g., payment or non-payment) and details of use (e.g., high payment amount vs. low payment amount, use of sensitive information vs. non-sensitive information).

In one embodiment, a user's selection of the user's own items does not affect the relevancy system. In one embodiment, only a first selection of a particular item by a user will affect the relevancy system and any additional selections of that item will have no effect. In another embodiment, the size of the changes made due to the selections of particular user to the relevancy system are correlated to that user's reputation score.
