Abrégé[Problem] To provide a refrigeration cycle, an air-conditioning system, and a method for controlling the refrigeration cycle. [Solution] A refrigeration cycle according to the present invention includes: an outdoor unit 110; and indoor units 130-1 and the like. This refrigeration cycle includes: a controller 116 that controls a compressor 115 and an outdoor fan 113 so as to minimize the total value of electric power consumption of an air-conditioning system; and an inverter 117 that, in accordance with an operation mode and a sensor value, controls the outdoor fan 113 at a rotational speed predicted from an air-conditioning load of an air-conditioning space. The controller 116 predicts the air-conditioning load and controls the rotational speed of the outdoor fan 113 in accordance with a capacity based on the predicted capacity.
