This scroll compressor comprises a fixed scroll, a revolving scroll that meshes with the fixed scroll to form an intake chamber or a compression chamber, a first space that is provided to a back-surface center side of the revolving scroll and that has a pressure close to a discharge pressure, and a second space that is provided to an outer peripheral side of the first space and that has an intermediate pressure. The scroll compressor also comprises a circumferential groove extending in a circumferential direction and formed in either an end plate surface in the fixed scroll or an end plate surface serving as a sliding surface in the revolving scroll, and a passage that is provided to the end plate of the revolving scroll and that is for supplying lubricating oil in the first space to the circumferential groove, the circumferential groove being provided to a position where the end plate of the revolving scroll most strongly contacts the end plate surface of the fixed scroll in proximity to a crank angle where a load acting on the revolving scroll reaches a maximum, and the circumferential length of the circumferential groove being within a range of approximately ±90 degrees including the position of strongest contact.Classes IPC ?
