This air conditioner comprises: a refrigerant circuit in which a refrigerant circulates sequentially in a refrigeration cycle through a compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve, and an evaporator; and a control unit that controls at least the compressor and the expansion valve. One of the condenser and the evaporator is an outdoor heat exchanger, and the other is an indoor heat exchanger.
