Abstract

Provided is a display device that offers excellent visibility in the sight direction of a driver during turning. A display device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a display unit which emits displaying light and displays an image in a display region; a turning-prediction determination unit which determines whether or not a vehicle is predicted to start making a turn to the right or the left; a during-turning determination unit which determines whether or not the vehicle is currently turning to the right or the left; and a display control unit which, by performing control on the display unit, displays a pre-turning image 21a that is to be viewed by a driver before turning and a during-turning image 21b that is to be viewed by the driver during turning. When displaying the pre-turning image 21a at a first visibility level, the display control unit causes the during-turning image 21b to be displayed as an alternative to the pre-turning image 21a at a second visibility level which is a lower visibility as compared with the first visibility level in the case where the turning-prediction determination unit determines that turning is predicted to start. Thereafter, the display control unit changes the display mode of the during-turning image 21b in the case where the during-turning determination unit determines that the vehicle is turning.

Abstract
