Abstract

Provided is a rust-preventive composition that provides adequate corrosion resistance and excellent rust prevention on a vehicle body door or other panel fitting part, and that can prevent liquid dripping from a vehicle body. A rust preventive composition containing a rust preventive additive, a wax having a melting point in the range of 60-130°C selected from a microcrystalline wax or a polyethylene- or polypropylene-based synthetic wax, bentonite, a hydrogenated oil, and two or more types of diluents having different viscosities, wherein the rust preventive additive is included in a range of 12-39% by mass with respect to the total amount of the composition, the bentonite is included in a range of 2-6% by mass with respect to the total amount of the composition, and the wax is included in the range of 3-13% by mass with respect to the total amount of the composition.

Abstract

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a metal surface treatment agent with which it is possible to form a coating film that exhibits good corrosion resistance at an edge part of a coated metal material, such as a cut location. This problem can be solved by a metal surface treatment agent which contains ions (A) including at least one type of metal selected from among zirconium, titanium and hafnium at a metal-equivalent molar concentration of 0.1 mmol/L or more and a water-based urethane resin (B) having a weight average molecular weight of 50,000 or more at a solid content mass concentration of 0.5-10 g/L, and in which the ratio [BM/AM] of the metal-equivalent mass (AM) of the ions (A) and the solid content mass (BM) of the resin (B) is 0.7 or more.

Abstract

The present invention is intended to solve problems of the prior art, and an object of the invention is to provide a water-based lubricant for plastic working of a metallic material, which is comparable or superior in workability to lubricating treatment such as zinc phosphate + soap treatment and conventional coating-type water-based lubricants, and excellent in workability after moisture absorption and scum clogging resistance. A water-based lubricant for plastic working of a metallic material is characterized in that the water-based lubricant is obtained by adding to a water-based medium: (A) a polymer and/or a salt thereof containing a carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof as a constituent monomer; (B) an oxoacid of tungsten, of silicon, or of phosphorus, or a condensate thereof, and/or a salt thereof; (C) a hydroxide of an alkali metal; and (D) a lubricating component (D), and the solid content weight ratio (A)/[(A) + (B) + (C) + (D)] is 0.05 to 0.4.

Abstract

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a supplement which is capable of supplying Zr ions to a metal surface treatment solution, while suppressing an increase in the HF concentration in the metal surface treatment solution, so that a chemical conversion coating film can be continuously formed on a steel sheet by electrolysis. A supplement of the present invention is a supplement which is used for the purpose of supplying zirconium ions to a metal surface treatment solution that contains zirconium ions and fluorine ions, and the supplement contains (A) zirconium hydrofluoric acid or a salt thereof and/or (B) hydrofluoric acid or a salt thereof and (C) a fluorine-free zirconium compound. The total concentration (g/l) of zirconium ions derived from the components (A) and (C) is 20 or more, and the ratio of the total molar amount (MF) of the fluorine ions derived from the components (A) and (B) relative to the total molar amount (MZr) of the zirconium ions derived from the components (A) and (C), namely MF/MZr is 0.01 or more but less than 4.00.

Abstract

A metal material having a coating formed by a surface treatment on the surface of the metal material is provided. The coating has an excellent corrosion resistance with or without further coating that is equivalent or superior to the prior art coating formed by zinc phosphate treatment or chromate treatment, is free from sludge formation or environmentally harmful components, and is formed by using a component capable of deposition with a simple method.
