Abstract

A developer device (2) comprises two developer rollers that are positioned in opposition to an image retention body (1). A first developer bias voltage (waveform (Z)) of a square waveform, wherein an alternating current voltage is superpositioned on a direct current voltage, is impressed on one of the two developer rollers (20A). A second developer bias voltage (waveform (A)), wherein an alternating current voltage is superpositioned on a direct current voltage, is impressed on the other of the two developer rollers (20B). The waveform (A) is a waveform wherein the square waveform in the first developer bias voltage is changed such that toner that has adhered to the image retention body (1) is less prone to being dislodged by toner flying thereafter. With the developer device (2), it is possible to obtain optimal image concentration in a minimal concentration potential.

Abstract

An image is formed without losing a moving image included in a structured document. An MFP receives print data and moving images from a PC, associates the moving images with second moving image identification information and stores the moving images associated therewith, embeds the second moving image identification information of the moving images stored and positional information included in the print data in still images included in the print data, and forms the still images on paper during the image formation.  Furthermore, an MFP (100) reads the still images formed on the paper during the image reading (S71), extracts the second moving image identification information and the positional information from the read still images (S73, S75), obtains the moving images identified by the second moving image identification information extracted (S74), and generates a structured document in which the moving images are associated with the still images so that the moving images are displayed in the position identified by the positional information of the still images (S89).

Abstract

Disclosed is an image formation apparatus wherein back side dirt of a recording medium due to toner adhering to a secondary transfer roller is prevented without upsizing the apparatus.  An image formation apparatus performs image adjustment by detecting a toner image constituting an image adjustment pattern (22) transferred to an intermediate transfer body (2), and forms a preceding pattern (21) having a length equal to or longer than the circumferential length of a secondary transfer roller (13) at a position preceding an image adjustment pattern (22) in the advancing direction of the intermediate transfer body, using toner having a highest lightness out of the toner used for the image adjustment pattern (22) or toner having a lightness higher than that of the toner used for the image adjustment pattern (22).

Abstract

Disclosed is an image-processing system capable of storing in a user's desired folder with no restriction on the designation of a transfer-destination folder and without requiring the input of a path for specifying the transfer-destination folder. When the transfer mode is set for an image data information-processing device (2), the information-processing device is requested to acquire screen data for reproducing a screen displayed on a display device (24) of the information-processing device. In response thereto, the information-processing device transmits the screen data to an image-processing device. Based on the screen data, the image-processing device displays on a display part (152) a remote screen which reproduces the screen of the information-processing device. When a user designates a position on the remote screen, that position is specified, and position data and image data are transmitted to the information-processing device (2). The information-processing device calculates the position on the screen corresponding to the position data transmitted from the image-processing device, and stores the image data in a storage location that is determined according to the object displayed at the calculated screen position.

Abstract

A pressure lever (49) by which a pressure roller (44) is rotatably supported is swingably connected to a fixing frame (48) by which a fixing roller (41) is rotatably supported, and through a drive gear (59), a sector gear (58), a pressure-contact adjustment lever (51), and a pressure-contact spring (57), the settings of a fixing pressure contact force mode are made to strong and light pressure contact modes by allowing a motor (61) to adjust the position of the swing of the pressure lever (49).  A control unit (14) sets the fixing pressure contact force mode to the strong pressure contact mode in order to improve a poor curling performance of the paper if the present environment of temperature/humidity is high temperature and high humidity according to the temperature/humidity detected by a temperature/humidity sensor (67) at the start of the fixing device immediately after the power is turned on, whereas the control unit sets the fixing pressure contact force mode to the light pressure contact mode in order to improve a poor fixing performance if the present environment of temperature/humidity is low temperature and low humidity at the start of the fixing device immediately after the power is turned on.  Thus, both good fixing performance and good curling performance of paper are achieved.

Abstract

A system speed is changed quickly and precisely while a CVT device excellent in quietness being used in a running transmission passage of a rotor.  If cardboard is used as a recording sheet, a DC motor acting as a running source is started (at S202).  During this start, a pair of pulley split bodies in each pulley are changed in distance (at S204) so that the CVT device may take a target reduction ratio.  On the basis of the detection signal of an encoder of the load rotation shaft of a driven pulley, the rotation of the DC motor is then feedback-controlled (at S207, if NO at S206) so that the rotation speed of the load rotation shaft may be a target value.

Abstract

An organic photosensitive material has a photosensitive layer on a conductive support body, and the photosensitive layer has a protective layer.  The protective layer is formed of alumina particles having a reactive organic group.  It is thereby possible to increase the abrasion resistance of the organic photosensitive material to the level of that of an amorphous silicon photosensitive material and solve the problem of image deletion and/or image blurring which tends to be caused under hot and humid conditions or the like.  In the organic photosensitive material, an electronic photography image with high durability and high quality can be thus achieved.

Abstract

There are used a first information embedding method that is used for embedding first information and specified by a first information expression rule and a second information embedding method that is used for embedding second information and specified by a second information expression rule different from the first information expression rule. The first information and the second information are so embedded that at least parts of the first and second information overlap with each other in an identical area. This makes it possible to provide an information embedding method, its program, and an information embedding device capable of generating an embedded image that is beautiful in appearance because the boundary between the first and second information is inconspicuous and is also safe because it is difficult to decipher the embedded information.

Abstract

It is possible to provide an image processing device, an image processing method, and its program which generate a positioning pattern of an information pattern in accordance with block information. This eliminates the problem that a block number cannot be identified although an information block position can be identified, i.e., the problem that information for identifying an information block cannot be sufficiently extracted. If an information pattern is identified, the extracted information can be used effectively. Moreover, it is possible to enhance the information embedding efficiency.

Abstract

It is an object to make out a color conversion table in which, when a CMYK combination is determine, a K quantity saving process is carried out, so that it hardly causes a color difference without occurrence of a tone jump. An image processing method makes out a color conversion table for converting a plurality of input colors to output ones. The image processing method is characterized in the following processes. A signal value of one color out of input and output characteristic data is variable. Signal values of the other colors extract a plurality of fixed gray scale color values. A model is made out so that, when the extracted color values are input, a difference value between input and output color values is obtained. By using the model, a difference value obtained in the case that the color value is input is added or subtracted for all the output color values to move, and, then, the output color values corresponding to the input color values are estimated, so that a color conversion table for converting a plurality of input colors to output colors is made out.
