Abstract

Abstract

A method for producing a lithium metal composite oxide, said method comprising: a step wherein either a mixture of a lithium compound and a metal composite compound containing at least Ni or a reaction product that is obtained by calcining the mixture is fired at 600°C or more, thereby obtaining a fired product; a step wherein the fired product is cooled from the firing temperature in the step for obtaining the fired product to 150°C or less, thereby obtaining a cooled product; and a step wherein the cooled product is crushed so that the BET specific surface area thereof is within the range of from 0.90 to 1.55 m2/g. With respect to this method for producing a lithium metal composite oxide, the average cooling rate for the temperature range of from 600°C to 150°C in the step for obtaining the cooled product is from 150 to 3,500.

The present invention provides a method for controlling pests in a cultivation area for farm crops, which provides an advantageous effect on pest control in cultivation area for farm crops, the method comprising (1) a step for treating a crop seed with at least one type of compound selected from compound group A, (2) a step for treating a cultivation area for a farm crop with ethyl[3-[2-chloro-4-fluoro-5-(1-methyl-6-trifluoromethyl-2,4-dioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine-3-yl)phenoxy]-2-pyridyloxy]acetate, before, simultaneously with, and/or after sowing the crop seed obtained in the previous step, and (3) a step for treating foliage of the farm crop during a growing period thereof using at least one compound selected from compound group B. Compound group A: A group consisting of pesticidal compounds and nematicidal compounds such as neonicotinoid compounds, diamide compounds, carbamate compounds, organic phosphorus compounds, and biological nematicidal compounds, and bactericidal compounds and plant growth control agents such as azole compounds, strobilurin compounds, metalaxyl compounds, and SDHI compounds. Compound group B: A group consisting of bactericidal compounds such as strobilurin compounds, azole compounds, and SDHI compounds, pyrethroid compounds, benzoylphenylurea compounds, organic phosphorus pesticidal compounds, neonicotinoid compounds, and diamide compounds.
