Abstract
An anilox roll (104) is provided, having at least one channel (302a, 302b; 312a, 312b; 402a, 402b) on its surface, the at least one channel (302a, 302b; 312a, 312b; 402a, 402b) having a course (602) extending in a straight course direction with an angle to a circumferential direction of the anilox roll (104), each channel being limited by a first wall (301a; 311a; 401a) and a second wall (301 b; 311 b; 401 b) opposing said first wall, said first wall having a meandering shape which touches a first straight virtual line (303b; 313b; 403b) at one or more points but does not intersect said first straight virtual, said first virtual line being at the channel side and parallel to said course direction; said second wall having a meandering shape which touches a second straight virtual line at one or more points but does not intersect said second straight virtual line, said second straight virtual line being at the channel side and being parallel to said first straight virtual line; said first straight virtual line being separated from said second straight virtual line by a distance D, wherein either said distance D = 0 or -12μm<0<12μm, preferably, -5μm<0<5μm, and most preferably, -2μm<0<2μm.

Abstract
An apparatus (310) for flexographic printing comprises a main body (320), and the main body comprises: an outer wall with an exterior surface, at least two compartments (410-413) in the main body, and at least two inlet channels (420-422); at least two outlets (321, 322), wherein each compartment connects to at least one outlet and to at least one inlet channel, such that gas is able to flow from each inlet channel to at least one outlet via at least one compartment, wherein the at least two compartments are separated from each other such that the gas is not able to flow from one compartment to another compartment.

Abstract
The invention relates to an anilox roll for a printing apparatus. The anilox roll comprises a cylinder having a surface. The surface comprises a fluid distribution structure for receiving, distributing and transferring a fluid such as an ink. The fluid distribution structure comprises a channel formed in the surface having channel walls. This channel is arranged for distributing the fluid over the fluid distribution structure. The channel comprises channel parts, wherein the courses of connected channel parts are at an angle with respect to each other for preventing a linear distribution of the fluids to be received in a course direction of the channel, allowing a meandering distribution of the fluid to be received in the channel. Side walls of the channel are arranged for allowing a meandering flow of the fluid throughout the fluid distribution surface.
