Abstract

There is disclosed a power connection apparatus which can secure connection between a power socket and a power plug and which can simplify the connecting operation properties thereof. A handle rotatably attached to the power plug having terminals includes engaging claw disengageably engaged with engagement portion of the power socket having an electrode portion, an abutment portion which abuts on the power socket, and a grip portion. The rotation of the grip portion in such a direction as to come away from the power socket is limited by the angle of the rotation of the handle in a direction in which the grip portion comes close to the power socket.

Abstract

There is provided a centrifugal air blower that can reduce driving force (consumed driving force) when an air blower is rotated, and also increase an airflow amount of air to be blown out from the air blower. A centrifugal air blower having an impeller 1 comprising a main plate 3 and plural vanes 2, and a side plate having a suction port and a blow-out port is characterized in that when the height of the suction port is represented by H, the height of the blow-out port is represented by h, the diameter of the impeller is represented by D and the diameter of the suction port is represented by d, 0.5 < h/H < 0.8 and 0.78 < d/D < 0.84 are satisfied.

Abstract

A showcase having a fin-and-tube type cooler which comprises plural planar fins and a refrigerant pipe penetrating through the plural planar fins and cools air to be fed toward display racks, wherein the plural planar fins comprise long fins arranged in parallel to an air flow direction along which air flows through the cooler, and short fins that are shorter in length in the air flowing direction than the long fins and arranged between respective adjacent long fins at the downstream side of the cooler with respect to the air flowing direction. Furthermore, the refrigerant pipe comprises first U-shaped hair pins each having two straight pipe portions and second U-shaped hair pins each having two straight pipe portions, the pitch between the two straight pipe portions of each second U-shaped hair pin is set to the double of the pitch between the two straight pipe portions of each first U-shaped hair pin, and the first and second U-shaped hair pins penetrate through the hole portions formed in the plural planar fins so as to be disposed in a predetermined arrangement style.

Abstract

The invention provides a high activity electrode catalyst for fuel cells whose catalytic activity due to an expensive noble metal, such as platinum, has been improved to a higher level through the use of an inexpensive material to enable a reduction in noble metal catalyst usage, a fuel cell in which the above high activity electrode catalyst is used, a membrane-electrode assembly in which the above high activity electrode catalyst is used, and a gas diffusion electrode in which the above high activity electrode catalyst is used. Use is made of an electrode catalyst for fuel cells comprising a carbon material that contain catalytically induced turbostratic structures in parts of its structure and noble metal particles supported thereon, or an electrode catalyst for fuel cells comprising the catalyst mentioned above and a catalyst comprising carbon black and noble metal particles supported thereon as mixed together or an electrode catalyst comprising the catalyst mentioned above and carbon black as mixed together.
