Abstract

An acquirer acquires touch location information indicating a touch location on a touch panel. A designator designates the moving direction of an object in the game space based on the touch location information. In a case in which there are multiple paths in which the object is movable in a game space, a predictor predicts, from among the multiple paths, a path in which the object will be moving, based on the moving direction designated by the designator and a shape of an environment that restricts movement of the object in the game space. The display controller displays an image indicating a prediction result by the predictor in the game space.

Abstract

[Problem] To detect touch coordinates, without detection errors and without using a special pen, on a substrate such as a touch panel. [Solution] This coordinate detection method comprises: calculating a ratio between the short-term average (STA) and long-term average (LTA) of output signals from at least three vibration detectors installed apart from each other at predetermined distances on a substrate which has a uniform thickness and is made from a homogeneous material that allows the propagation speeds of oscillating waves to be constant; calculating, as arrival times, the times at which the STA/LTA ratio of the three vibration detectors by oscillating waves generated by touching the substrate exceeds a predetermined threshold value; and calculating touch position coordinates on the basis of each of the arrival times, the propagation speed of the oscillating waves, and the distances at which the three vibration detectors are spaced apart from each other.

Abstract

Provided is a game system that is capable of suppressing time needed to share or exchange opinions between users in a game. This game system provides a quiz game that is played by eight users simultaneously. Furthermore, in a information share phase of the quiz game, the game system gives, via a game screen for selecting a region, a selection opportunity that is shared by the eight users such that eight selected regions corresponding to the eight users are selected individually by them from three region images of an enemy character image, and provides, in there, selection status information relating to the eight selected regions. Then, in a battle phase which follows the information share phase, the game system gives, based on the selection result in the information share phase, changes corresponding to the eight selected regions to the quiz game such that user characters attack the selected regions.

Abstract

A game device controls a game in which an action is applied to a movable object. A prediction accepting unit accepts a prediction made by a user on a movement parameter of the movable object when a predetermined operation of making a prediction is performed by the user. A moving unit decides the movement parameter of the movable object. A determination unit determines a result of the prediction made by the user based on movement parameters respectively predicted by the user and decided by the moving unit. A display control unit displays an arrival point area indicating an expected arrival position of the movable object in an active area in which the action can be applied to the movable object, and changes a size of the arrival point area based on a result of determination by the determination unit.

Abstract

First control means of a simulation device simulates motions of a plurality of virtual players that are placed in a virtual world and other than an operation target of a user. Determining means determines whether a situation of a game being simulated in the virtual world is similar to a situation indicated in data. In a case where it is determined that the situation of the game in the virtual world is similar to the situation indicated in the data, second control means controls, in place of the first control means, the virtual players other than the operation target of the user based on a motion associated with the situation.

Abstract

A game method includes making an output control to move at least one object displayed over a display screen toward a predefined area of the display screen; making, for each of the at least one object, a first success/failure determination, based on first and second timings, wherein at the first timing the object moving over the display screen reaches the predefined area of the display screen, and at the second timing the acceptor accepts the inputs; and making, for each of the at least one object, a second success/failure determination, based on motions of the object, depending on a type of operation that the acceptor determined from the inputs that the acceptor has accepted, in a case that a result of the first success/failure determination represents success.
