Abstract

The invention relates to a device for generating a digital identifier of a copy of a printed object, said copy having at least one printed image. The device has at least one optoelectronic capturing device which captures the at least one printed image, generates an image consisting of a plurality of discrete pixels from the captured printed image, and ascertains at least the brightness intensity of each of the pixels. The device also has a unit which interacts with the optoelectronic capturing device and analyzes the brightness intensities of the pixels and which is designed to segment the surface of the captured image of the printed image into multiple fields, each of which consists of pixels of the image, and provide each field with position information. The aforementioned unit is additionally designed to ascertain a difference in respective brightness intensities from adjacent pixels in each of the fields, display the differences ascertained from the brightness intensities of adjacent pixels in the form of a frequency distribution, and in each frequency distribution calculate an average value, a standard deviation related to the respective average value, and the slope and curvature of each frequency distribution. The unit is also designed to store respective position information of each field together with the respective standard deviation, slope, and curvature calculated for each field as the digital identifier of the copy in question of the printed object in a storage device for all of the fields. The invention additionally relates to a smartphone or a tablet comprising said device and to a method for using same.

Abstract

The invention relates to a processing machine system with a job preparation system which is designed to detect the production and the quality data of print jobs and with at least one printing machine which is connected to the job preparation system. The at least one printing machine has a plurality of measuring and/or regulating systems, wherein multiple different respective quality levels are entered and/or can be entered for each measuring and/or regulating system, and each quality level for a respective measuring and/or regulating system comprises at least one parameter set which is specific to the respective measuring and/or regulating system and which comprises a parameter tolerance. Multiple quality stages are stored on the job preparation system for a user to select for a respective print job, and the quality stages do not comprise parameters specific to the measuring and/or regulating systems. The job preparation system is designed such that after a quality stage is selected for a respective print job, the job preparation system ascertains or calculates a respective quality level for all of the measuring and/or regulating systems or for the measuring and/or regulating systems used for the respective print job on the basis of the quality stage selected by the user for the respective print job and activates the parameter sets, comprised by the quality levels, with the corresponding parameter tolerances in order to be used in the respective measuring and/or regulating systems or prompts the respective measuring and/or regulating systems to be used. The invention likewise relates to a method for operating a processing machine system.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for checking the quality of printed products (01) which are produced successively in a specific production process by means of a plurality of printing machines. In this method: on each surface to be printed of each of these printed products (01) at least three printed images (03; 04; 06) are arranged spaced apart from one another with a spacing (A; B; C; D) which is fixed for this printed product (01); these at least three printed images (03; 04; 06) are each printed in printing processes which differ from one another; for checking the quality of the individual printed product (01), two printed images (03; 04; 06) which are printed in printing processes which differ from one another are selected by an inspection system in order to form a printed image pair; the printed image pair is assigned a spacing dimension which is fixed for the spacing (A; B; C; D) of the printed images (03; 04; 06) in said pair; before the start of the specific production process this spacing dimension is provided with a tolerance which is fixed according to the printing process used in the relevant printed image pair; the quality of the printed products (01) produced is checked in such a way that during the specific production process, by means of a computer unit of the inspection system, at least in the case of one sub-set taken from the set of all printed products (01) produced successively in the specific production process, in each case with the same printed image pair, a current value is determined for the particular spacing (A; B; C; D) between the printed images (01) selected for this printed image pair; the computer unit compares the currently determined value of each of the relevant spacings (A; B; C; D) with the spacing dimension fixed for this spacing (A; B; C; D), taking account of the associated tolerance, and a deviation of the currently determined value of each of the relevant spacings (A; B; C; D) from its fixed spacing dimension is determined, taking account of the associated tolerance.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for operating a device for printing the respective lateral surface of hollow bodies (01). The device has at least one mandrel wheel (02), which holds hollow bodies (01) on protruding mounting pins, and a transfer disc (92) arranged downstream of the mandrel wheel (02) in the transport direction of the hollow bodies (01) for transporting the hollow bodies (01), wherein the mandrel wheel (02) and the transfer disc (92) are arranged in a laterally offset manner to each other on two different parallel planes in a rotating manner in each case, and hollow bodies (01) printed during an ongoing production process are transferred from the mounting pins of the mandrel wheel (02) to the transfer disc (92). When changing over the device from a first production of hollow bodies (01) at a first height to a second production of hollow bodies (01) at another second height, the lateral offset between the mandrel wheel (02) and the transfer disc (92) is adapted to the height of the hollow bodies (01) to be printed in the second production by automatically changing the axial position of the transfer disc (92) relative to the position of the mandrel wheel (02).

Abstract

The invention relates to a printing press (01) comprising at least one printing unit (04) which has one or more printing devices (11; 12) and by means of which a sheet-like substrate (02) can be printed on, at least on one side, at at least one printing point, and comprising at least one product receptacle (05) in which the printed sheet-like substrate (02) can be combined to form packs of products or intermediate products, wherein a rotatable cooling cylinder (36), which guides and/or conveys the sheet-like substrate (02), is arranged upstream of the product receptacle (05) in the substrate path, wherein at least one first electrode (37; 41) is arranged at the substrate path section extending over a peripheral portion of the cooling cylinder (36) and is directed towards this substrate path section such that, when electrical voltage is applied, the substrate (02) passing the electrode (37; 41) on the substrate path can be or is electrostatically charged.
