Abstract

This disclosure relates to a receiver device for pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) signals. The receiver device calculates a transmitter dispersion eye closure quaternary (TDECQ). The receiver device first obtains a signal, wherein the signal is based on a PAM signal sent by a transmitter device over a channel to the receiver device, and filters the obtained signal. Further, the transmitter device equalizes the filtered signal using a FFE with multiple taps, and filtersthe equalized signal output by the FFE using a 2-tap post filter, wherein high frequency noise caused by the FFE is compressed. The receiver device applies a Max-Log-Map (MLM)algorithm on the filtered signal output by the 2-tap post filter, reconstructs a signal constellation of the PAM signal based on the result of the MLM algorithm, and calculates a TDECQ based on the reconstructed signal constellation.

Abstract

A registration method for an optical communication network, an apparatus, a communication device, and a system, relating to the technical field of optical communications. When lowering the transmission power of an optical signal, a first network device generates a registration message according to a determined order, the registration information in the registration message being represented by the order corresponding to an FrFT sequence. Therefore, if a second network device not only receives a service message but also receives the registration message, the second network device can extract, on the basis of the order, the registration information contained in the registration message, so that the second network device can achieve registration (such as going online and ranging) of the first network device according to the registration message. Since the registration message is sent at a low power, the registration message does not affect the transmission of the service message, and the second network device does not need to start a silent window for the registration process of the first network device, thereby avoiding affecting the transmission of service messages of other network devices connected to the second network device, and reducing the overall transmission delay and time jitter of optical communication networks.

Further, the transmitter device equalizes the filtered signal using a FFE with multiple taps, and filters the equalized signal output by the FFE using a 2-tap post filter, wherein high frequency noise caused by the FFE is compressed. The receiver device applies a Max-Log-Map (MLM) algorithm on the filtered signal output by the 2-tap post filter, reconstructs a signal constellation of the PAM signal based on the result of the MLM algorithm, and calculates a TDECQ based on the reconstructed signal constellation.

Abstract

The present application provides a burst optical signal transmission method and a related device. In the method, a first optical module determines a first sub-bands and b second sub-bands from an uplink system spectrum, reserves a low-frequency first sub-band as a blank sub-band (i.e., not carrying an uplink signal frame), and uses a high-frequency second sub-band for bearing an uplink signal frame. Because the first optical module enables the uplink signal frame to be only carried on the high-frequency second sub-band and does not enable the uplink signal frame to be carried on the low-frequency first sub-band, in a burst receiving process, distortion generated on the low-frequency first sub-band does not affect demodulation of a second optical module on the uplink signal frame carried on the high-frequency second sub-band. Therefore, in the case of using a same receiving device, the preamble overhead of a burst receiving process can be shortened, and the data transmission efficiency can be improved.
