Abstract

The invention relates to a rotary die-cutter for cutting a piece of material or scrap out of a printing material such as paper, comprising: a die-cutting cylinder (3) and an associated impression cylinder (4), the die-cutting cylinder connected to a vacuum source (7); a die-cutting tool (9) disposed on the die-cutting cylinder and including at least one die-cutting knife (10) that has a closed form (11) and a suction opening (12) within the closed form; a cylinder cover (13) disposed on the impression cylinder; at least one raised or recessed first guide element (14) for guiding suction air, said first guide element disposed within the closed form, and/or at least one recessed or raised second guide element (15) for guiding air, said second guide element disposed in the cylinder cover. The invention allows the scrap to be removed from the printing material, transported with the die- cutting cylinder, and ejected from the die-cutting tool/die-cutting knife in a trouble-free way.
