Abstract

A logic circuitry package for a replaceable print apparatus component includes an interface to communicate with a print apparatus logic circuit, and at least one logic circuit to transmit, via the interface, a sensor ID parameter and a limit parameter, the sensor ID parameter indicating a first sensor ID. The logic circuit is to receive, via the interface, a first request corresponding to the first sensor ID with the component connected to the apparatus and the apparatus not pneumatically actuating the component. The logic circuit is to transmit, via the interface, a first digital value in response to the first request. The logic circuit is to receive, via the interface, a second request corresponding to the first sensor ID with the component connected to the apparatus and the apparatus pneumatically actuating the component. The logic circuit is to transmit, via the interface, a second digital value in response to the second request. A difference between the first digital value and the second digital value is greater than the limit parameter.

The interface structure includes a liquid channel that includes a reservoir connecting portion and a needle receiving portion. A liquid interface of the liquid channel adjacent the needle receiving portion is at a distance from the reservoir connecting portion. At least one of the needle receiving portion and a seal configured to receive the liquid needle define a needle insertion direction. At least one key pen base and key pen protrude from the key pen base in a direction parallel and opposite to the needle insertion direction, and extend next and parallel to the needle receiving portion. The key pen has a respective actuating surface area, to pass through a key slot and actuate upon an actuator of the receiving station. A contact pad array is next to the needle receiving portion with contact surfaces of the contact pads facing the container. The contact pad array is arranged along a line extending in a lateral direction perpendicular to the needle insertion direction. The key pen, needle receiving portion and liquid interface are intersected by a first virtual reference plane parallel to, and at a distance from, a second virtual reference plane that intersects the contact pad array.

Abstract

A print liquid supply apparatus for connection to a print system comprises a container having perpendicular first, second and third dimensions, and an interface structure to fluidically connect the container to a receiving station. The interface structure has first, second and third dimensions parallel to respective dimensions of the container and comprises a liquid interface having a seal to fluidically connect to a liquid needle of the receiving station, and a liquid channel fluidically connecting the container and liquid interface. The liquid channel and liquid interface define a needle insertion direction approximately parallel to the second dimension of the interface structure. A key pen extends next to a needle receiving portion of the liquid channel approximately parallel to a central axis of the needle receiving portion. A recess houses a contact pad array for connection to a data connector of the print system. Pad contact surfaces of the contact pad array extend in a second virtual reference plane parallel to the second and third dimensions of the interface structure and face the container. The contact pad array extends along a line parallel to the third dimension of the interface structure. The second virtual reference plane extends at a distance from a first virtual reference plane parallel to the interface structure second and third dimensions. The first virtual reference plane intersects the liquid channel and liquid interface so that on connection with the print system, the data connector extends into the recess and between the contact surfaces and the container.

Abstract

A fluid ejection device includes a plurality of address lines and a fire line for communicating a fire signal. The de-vice also includes a plurality of nozzle circuits coupled to the fire line and the plurality of address lines. Each nozzle circuit is con-figured, when enabled, to eject fluid via a different one of a plurality of nozzles in response to the fire signal. A subset of the plu-rality of address lines is coupled to each pair of the plurality of nozzle circuits. Each subset that is coupled to one of the pairs of nozzle circuits is selected so that simultaneous activation of every address line of that subset simultaneously enables each nozzle circuit in the pair or pairs of nozzle circuits coupled to that triad and none of the other nozzle circuits of the plurality of nozzle cir-cuits.
