In some implementations, the inflator may include a compressor coupled to an air hose having an air fitting at a distal end thereof. In addition, the inflator may include a controller configured to control the operation of the compressor. The inflator may include entry keys coupled to the controller for setting a target air pressure for inflating an inflatable object coupled to the air fitting. Moreover, the inflator may include a display coupled to the controller for displaying the target air pressure. Also, the inflator may include a power cord having an accessory plug at a distal and thereof. Further, the inflator may include an indicator provided at the distal end of the power cord that is coupled to the controller to provide an indication that air pressure in the inflatable object has reached the target pressure.

Abstract

A portable insect control trap has, in a single portable device, two modes of attracting insects, including a first mode adapted to attract flying insects (e.g. insect-attracting light) and a second mode adapted to attract crawling insects (e.g., bait). The same device has two modes of killing insects, including a first mode adapted to kill flying insects (e.g. an electrified grid) and a second mode adapted to kill crawling insects (e.g. an electric heating element). The first mode of attracting is associated with the first mode of killing, the second mode of attracting is associated with the second mode of killing.

Abstract

A solar lamp has illumination functionality and insect control functionality. The lamp has a main body comprising a main housing, a rechargeable battery housed within lamp for powering the electronic functions of the lamp, device electronics housed within the lamp for controlling the electronic functions of the lamp in a plurality of states comprising an OFF state and an ON state, and a support attached to the lamp, the support containing solar cells for harvesting solar energy and recharging the rechargeable battery and also for detecting a level of ambient light. A transparent panel is disposed at a front of the main body, the panel disposed over a printed circuit board (PCB) on which are disposed a plurality of high-power LEDs for illumination. One or more extension housings are attached to the main body, each extension housing containing an inner grid and an outer grid for electrocuting insects and one or more insect-attracting lights for emitting insect-attracting wavelengths of light. A manual electrical switch is disposed on the lamp for manually selecting a state from the plurality of states. The solar cells, rechargable battery, manual electrical switch, inner grid, outer grid, insect-attracting lights and high-power LEDs are electrically and operatively connected to the device electronics. When the OFF state is selected by the manual electrical switch, the inner grid, outer grid, insect-attracting lights and high-power LEDs are off. When the ON state is selected, the inner grid, outer grid, and insect-attracting lights are on, and if the solar cells are detecting a level of ambient light below a predetermined level, the high-power LEDs are also on.

Abstract

A solar light stick for use in illuminating and decorating a lawn, garden or pathway. The solar light stick includes a supporting stake, a solar panel, a rechargeable battery, at least one LED, and a tube body. The tube body contains a light transmissive material that may be transparent or translucent. The solar panel charges the rechargeable battery which, in turn, provides power to the LEDs. The LEDs are positioned to provide light to the interior of the tube body. As such, the LEDs may be located within a recess in the tube body. Reflective flakes dispersed within the tube body reflect and disperse light from the LEDs in a decorative manner.

Abstract

A tiltable solar disk light has a solar light disk body comprising a disk-shaped housing which houses solar cells, LEDs, a rechargeable battery, a pushbutton switch, and driver electronics configured to deliver power to the LEDs from the battery when the switch is in the ON position and the solar cells are not detecting ambient light and to cut off power to the LEDs when the switch is in the OFF position or the solar cells are detecting ambient light. The disk body is tiltably and rotatably supported in a frame, on a pair of pegs extending from the housing, with enough clearance space about the disk body to permit tilting and rotating within the frame. A landscape spike is optionally connected to the frame by curved arms configured to define a clearance gap between the spike and the frame to permit the disk body to tilt within the frame about the axis of rotation formed by the pegs.

A lighting apparatus includes a central hub, and four panels hingedly attached to each side of the hub. Three panels have an LED array each. The fourth panel houses an array of solar cells, an ON/OFF switch, a rechargeable battery, and electronics. The four panels are independently positionable with respect to the hub. A motion detector is configured to operate the apparatus such that when motion is detected, the switch is in the ON position, and the solar cells do not detect ambient light above a predetermined base level, the device electronics turn the LEDs on; and when motion is not detected for a predetermined period, or the switch is in the OFF position, or the solar cells detect ambient light above the predetermined base level, the LEDs are powered off.

Abstract

A cookware set includes a pot, a lid configured to fit on and cover the pot in a first position, and a support attached to an upper surface of the lid and disposed at the edge of the lid and configured to support the lid in a substantially vertical position on a rim of the pot in a second position. The support has a base and two wings extending from the base, each of the two wings disposed on an opposite end of the base and having a bent portion bent inward toward the base to define a two-piece channel defined by an upper surface of the base and inner surfaces of the wings. The channel is configured to receive a rim of the pot in the second position.

Abstract

A solar disk light has a central body and an annular shelf surrounding the central body and attached to the central body by one or more struts, defining a gap between an inner surface of the annular shelf and the central body. LEDs are disposed on the annular shelf. The central body has solar cells for harvesting solar energy and detecting ambient light. The central body contains a rechargeable battery for storing harvested solar energy, a switch, and wiring and driver electronics for operably connecting the solar cells, battery, switch, and LEDs. A translucent shell is on the disk light body, covering the annular shelf and LEDs, such that light emitted by the LEDs shines through the shell. The shell has an opening for receiving the central body such that the solar cells are not covered by the shell, the shell having an inner wall received in the gap.

Abstract

A rechargeable electric fan with a fan portion, a base portion, and a telescoping mast hingedly attached to and connecting the fan portion and the base portion. The fan portion has removable front grille, engageable in a first position in which the grille is retained in the front opening of the housing of the fan portion. The grille is rotatable from the first position to a second position in which the grille is released from the front opening. Slots are disposed on a periphery of the grille, and are configured to engage with corresponding tabs disposed on a periphery of the front opening, to retain the grille in the first position, and to release the grille when it is rotated into the second position. To prevent inadvertent release of the grille, a latch mechanism is configured and disposed to lock the grille in the first position, the latch mechanism comprising a button and a latch configured and disposed to release the lock when the button is depressed. The base portion comprises an oscillating mechanism including of a motor-driven pinion which engages an annular gear in the floor of the base portion. The floor is rotatably retained to the remainder of the base portion, so that when the pinion is turned by the motor, the entire fan turns about the stationary floor.

Abstract

A lamp for illumination or decorative lighting having a lamp unit with a roof portion and a base portion, and a translucent cylindrical enclosure. A single, flat, and rigid PCB is disposed within the enclosure, mounted to the roof portion. A white set of LEDs is mounted on the faces of the PCB and arranged in a plurality of white rows. A colored set of LEDs is mounted on the two faces and arranged in a plurality of colored rows, the white rows interleaved with the colored rows. A battery rechargeable by solar cell powers the LEDs. A switch and electronic circuitry selectively control the white set and colored set, the circuitry configured to perform an off mode (white set and colored set are off), an illumination mode (white set is powered on continuously and the colored set is off), and a flame mode (colored LEDs of the colored set are powered on selectively to simulate a flame), selected by the switch or by a remote control.
