Abstract
Glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) is a glycolipid that anchors more than 150 proteins to the cell surface. Pathogenic variants in several genes that participate in GPI biosynthesis cause inherited GPI deficiency (IGD) disorders. Here, the inventors reported that homozygous null alleles of PIGG, a gene involved in GPI modification, are responsible for the rare Emm-negative blood phenotype. Using a panel of K562 cells defective in both the GPI-transamidase and GPI remodeling pathways, they demonstrate that the Emm antigen, whose molecular basis has remained unknown for decades, is carried only by free GPI and that its epitope is composed of the second and third ethanolamine of the GPI backbone. Importantly, the inventors show that the decrease in Emm expression in several IGD patients is indicative of GPI defects. Overall, our findings establish Emm as a novel blood group system and have important implications for understanding the biological function of human free GPI.

Abstract
A method—for printing a 3D object, defined by a 3D image having multiple illuminated points, in a photoreactive composition volume—includes extracting from the image a mosaic sequence. Each mosaic includes multiple solid areas, each including illuminated point(s). The mosaic sequence is projected in an axial direction, inside the volume, to form—from each projected mosaic—multiple light areas, each corresponding to a solid area of the projected mosaic. In the solid area of a mosaic, a number of illuminated points and the distribution of the illuminated points are adjusted so, when projecting the mosaic is into the volume, the light area corresponding to the solid area causes a photoreaction in an associated composition block with a desired axial resolution. In the same mosaic, the solid areas are distributed such that, when projecting the mosaic into the volume, the composition does not react between the light areas associated with the multiple solid areas.

Abstract
The global emergence of drug-resistant bacteria leads to the loss of efficacy of our antibiotics arsenal and severely limits the success of currently available treatments. Here, the inventors developed an innovative strategy based on Targeted-Antibacterial-Plasmids (TAPs) that use bacterial conjugation to deliver CRISPR/Cas systems exerting a strain-specific antibacterial activity. TAPs are highly versatile as they can be directed against any specific genomic or plasmid DNA using the custom algorithm (CSTB) that identifies appropriate targeting spacer sequences. The inventors demonstrate TAPs ability to induce strain-selective killing by introducing lethal DSBs into the targeted genomes. TAPs directed against a plasmid-born carbapenem resistance gene efficiently resensitize the strain to the drug. This work represents an essential step towards the development of an alternative to antibiotic treatments, which can be used to eradicate targeted resistant and/or pathogen bacteria without affecting other non-targeted bacterial communities.

Abstract
The present invention relates to the field of adjuvant and vaccination. In the present study, the inventors investigate whether P1, in addition to being an antigen, could act as an adjuvant by first exploring its capacity to stimulate epithelial TSLP production. They evaluated additional immunomodulatory effects of P1 on human nasal mucosal models, including cytokines and chemokines production, intracellular signaling pathways, mucosal DC activation, T cell proliferation, and antigen-specific B cell responses against a model antigen in vitro. Altogether, they reported the immunological mechanism underlying P1-vaccine and the interest of P1 as a nasal mucosal adjuvant. Thus, the present invention relates to an immunoadjuvant composition comprising the P1 peptide of the HIV-1 envelope subunit gp41.

Abstract
In the present invention, inventors provide compelling evidence showing that PCOS neuroendocrine reproductive and metabolic dysfunctions are transmitted in PAMH mice for at least three generations. Inventors employed genome-wide methylated DNA immunoprecipitation (MeDIP) analysis to characterize methylated genes in ovaries from control and PAMH mice of the third generation, the first unexposed transgenerational offspring, together with transcriptome analysis in these tissues. Inventors identified many genes with altered transcriptome expression in ovarian tissues of PCOS-animals and they show that several key molecules associated to the PCOS phenotype are epigenetically regulated through DNA hypomethylation. Inventors report that several differentially methylated signatures found in the ovaries of PCOS-like mice are also present in blood samples from women with PCOS and from daughters born to women with PCOS. Accordingly, the present invention relates to methods for diagnosis of the Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) through detection of the methylation status of set of gene of the invention in a biological sample obtained from a subject or a patient. The present invention also relates to a method of preventing or treating a Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) in a subject in need thereof.
