Accompanying a mounting operation of the developer replenishing container 1, the engaging part 30 engages with the engaged part 11b, and displaces the developer receiving part 11 such that the receiving port 11a communicates with the shutter opening 4j.
This developer replenishing container is provided with: a developer housing part which houses a developer; a discharging part in which a discharging port for discharging the developer housed in the developer housing part is formed; and an engaging part 30 which, accompanying a mounting operation of a developer replenishing container 1, engages with an engaged part 11b, and displaces a developer receiving part 11 in an upward direction U such that a receiving port communicates with the discharging port, wherein the engaging part 30 comprises a holding section 31 that is provided to be rotatable about a rotating shaft 41, and holds the engaged part 11b by being fitted to the engaged part 11b, and, accompanying the mounting operation, the engaging part 30 performs rotation movement about the rotating shaft 41 such that the engaged part 11b held by the holding section 31 is oriented vertically in the upward direction U.
Accompanying a mounting operation of a replenishing container, a supported section 11b of a developer receiving part 11 is supported by a reception supporting section 30c of a lift part 30. Accompanying an additional mounting operation, a shutter sliding section 30b of the lift part 30 slides to a shutter inclined section 4f of a shutter 4, whereby the lift part 30 is moved vertically along the shutter inclined section 4f. By thus operating the lift part 30 supporting the supported section 11b of the developer receiving part 11 using the shutter 4, the developer receiving part 11 is displaced such that a receiving port communicates with a discharging port. Consequently, a load to be applied to the movement of the developer receiving part 11 can be reduced, and the replenishing container can be smoothly mounted.

In the present invention, a cartridge is provided to an electrophotographic image forming device body that is not provided with a mechanism which causes a body-side engagement part, provided to the device body in order to transmit a rotational force to an image carrier, to move according to the opening and closing operation of a body cover of the device body, such movement being in the rotational axis direction of the image carrier. The cartridge is removable in a prescribed direction substantially orthogonal to the rotational axis of the image carrier, wherein the cartridge can be removed from the device body without impairing useability performance.
